coffee_rules
Sheer waste of time, money and effort. What is it going to give us? Atleast if it was some English side, Indian batsmen could''ve gotten used to some English-type bowling. What if somebody gets injured? I wish Dravid would trade this practice match with Aus A side in Aus, an extra practice match in Aus. Aug 3-5 they play against SL A. Pray nobody in the Indian team gets injured in this effort. Oval Test starts on Aug 9. A ten day rest needed for Zaheer, RPS and other bowlers. A big no-no for any top performer who is needed for the Oval test. I would play the following team: Gambhir, Jaffer, Laxman, Yuvraj, Dhoni*+, Kartik, Ganguly, Pawar, Sreesanth, Ishant, Bose, Link to comment
varun
Look at the bright side. In all our recent away tours, we've lost the match immediately following a famous win (oz/saf/england/pakistan) Lets lose the match to SLA and get it over with :P On a serious note, yeah it's pointless, they'll obviously give all the ppl who haven't had a game yet some practice. THX_1138
well we might actually go up against a bowling attack half way decent. save for sidebottom and tremlet in shades, the english bowling has been pedestrian. my grandmother, who would kick geof boycott's grandmother's arse, could hit a hundred against them... King Tendulkar
Not pointless at all. Gives squad players a game and keeps them match fit if needed. Also if any batters were in bad nick this game would give them valuable opportunity to hit form Link to comment
