Team for T20 WC based on IPLV The thread is opened to select players based on their performances in this IPL for T20 WC later this year. Match conditions will be very much similar that is why we can have very good idea as to who has the potential to play for India in the upcoming T20 WC. Personally, I believe MSD should not be included in that team and may have GG as captain and wk responsibilities can be handed to Naman Ojha or Robin Uthappa, who has done well both as a keeper and batsman this season for PWI. Team will be chosen based on the names put in at the end of IPL after seeing all the performances. Put your names.

still each teams need to play more than 10 matches..so early days who knows if :csk: again reaches final or wins Dhoni will be automatic even if he dont wants
Agree. Team will be chosen based on the names put in after IPL endsl. Selection of Dhoni as captain will depend on all posters' opinions.

Send a young team minus MSD, GG, Sehwag and Zak. Let Kohli lead the side. We have been knocked out in the prelims in the last two events. Even if a young team gets knocked out again, heavens will not fall. Uthappa (wk), Rahane, Kohli ©, Rohit, Raina, Manoj Tiwary, Irfan, Yusuf, Jadeja, Ashwin, Rahul Sharma, Umesh, Aaron, Dinda, Musa Patel

^ Good team.. I would look for other options in place of Manoj Tiwari (Could've some silly brianfarts), Yusuf (he needs total relaxation), Aaron (short of match practice and still unreliable), Dinda (Jury is still out on him performing at international level and on Lankan Patta pitches) Would like to have Bhargav Bhatt in the team. He surely is a dark horse. Would rather have Bisla in place of Manoj Tiwari (horses for courses). Harmeet Singh could be useful in place of Aaron. Irfan Pathan in place of Yuchup..

We know his class. IPL is for filling empty slots. We aren't going to drop Kohli' date='Raina etc if they don't perform in IPL, will we? Cause they've proven their mettle.[/quote'] But he is looking tired, uninspiring, and uninterested recently in most matches. We may give him break from one format at least now.
