Crookbond
first dhoni should drop himself. TINA factor ... no need. As was shown by his tactics yesterday, he is still very much ON. Link to comment
asterix
Lankan pitches will always favour bit of spin bowling. Even if not, our spinners will be able to skid the ball. The spinners can't bowl any worse than our trundlers. My Team: Gauti Pathan Kohli UV Nohit Raina Dhoni Bhajji Ashwin Chawla/Tiwari (Tiwari can bowl useful legspin) Zak Link to comment
Magneto
open with Kohli and Gambhir. Dinda V Balaji is a tough choice. Dinda needs someone to tell him before every ball, the guy has no brains. He kept bowling short not a single yorker. He was bowling yorkers at will in West Indies. Saved a game by giving just 3 runs in the last over against WI-A He backs himself thinking he will bounce out the batsman, but does not change strategy even after it's pretty clear that the ploy is not working. And those short balls at 135 km aimed at 6 feet plus batsmen mostly get carted. He bowled two decent bouncers in his first over, but bowled utter trash in his second. Also, he's hardly accurate; ending up being neither here nor there. The Pathan experiment clearly failed because neither will he give us an aggressive start, nor will he play some kind of a sheet anchor. You need a proper batsman to put away the loose deliveries that some opening bowlers might bowl. If Sehwag works then fine, otherwise promote Kohli. Balaji and Dinda are both liabilities at this point. Zak will come back in the next game, but if he is as poor as he has seemed off late; it's better to use Kohli as a seamer and play three spinners. Magneto
4 bowlers (no way are we gonna play 5 bowlers) Sehwag comes back. Balaji, Chawla and Dinda out, Zak and Ashwin back. Link to comment
Lord
if its dry against Aus n SA ,I'd play all 3 spinners.yes Chawla can go 4 sixes, but so can Bala n Dinda.atleast Chawla can pick wickets n is a better fielder/batsman. against Pak I'd play Dinda ahead of Balaji.n rest Bhajji. whatever happens we gotta play 5 bowlers, with Rohit scoring,I'd drop GG. but all that wont happen I'm sure with MSD Link to comment
Magneto
This is pretty simple actually: :dontknow: Aus, SA, SL, WI Link to comment

asterix
Not too keen on three full time spinners. We have Yuvi/Raina/Rohit to fall back upon in case of turners. I think Ashwin could bowl couple of PP overs and then in the death overs.. Bhajji & Chawla can bowl after PP overs. Can't rely on pacers in PP overs (especially Zaheer) PP overs: Pathan - 3 Zak - 1 Ashwin -2 Bhajji - 1 7 - 14 overs: Chawla - 4 Bhajji - 2 Zak -1 (& UV -1) UV - 2 ( & Zak - 0) Between 15 to 20 overs: Ashwin - 2 Zak -1 UV - 1 Bhajji - 1 Link to comment

Lord
runs on the board are always crucial in pressure games.with our lineup it'll be invariably be big scores.that will make our bowlers look better. so better batting first imo Link to comment
