India to Play Sri lanka again from July 22

India's five-match ODI series and one T20 International against Sri Lanka [ Images ] will be played from July 22 to August 7 across three venues.

• Arrival on July 19
• July 22: 1st ODI (Hambantota)
• July 25: 2nd ODI (Hambantota)
• July 28: 3rd ODI (Colombo)
• July 31: 4th ODI (Colombo)
• Aug 5: 5th ODI (Kandy)
• Aug 7: 1st T20 International (Kandy).
• Aug 8: Departure.

SL have not won a bilateral ODI series against India since 1997 .:winky: I may be wrong though.

In these conditions, PK is as deadly as any other bowler in the world. 15 matches, 25 wickets@23. Expect the other Kumar to do equally well provided he is selected. Given that we will be playing after a gap of nearly 2 months, expect our players to turn up all bloated up. Hopefully BCCI will ask them to attend at least a week long camp before the series.

heck we beat them in 2008 and 2009 with murali. even this we will win. hope new bowlers are given chance.

WTF is wrong with BCCI? What's the point in playing Loins time and again? It's not as if BCCI will earn millions of dollars from the Ind-SL series. Let the players rest before they embark on another never-ending season.

i hope the pace bowlers are zak,yadav nd aaron... when india nd lanka play on these same venues in which pakistan nd lanka played , the games would becoe high scoring ones rather than what we saw in the current pak lanka series..reason, indian batsmen are miles ahead of any batting line up in sc..theyll pile up the runs, indian bowlers are crap nd lankan will feast on them causing lanka also scoring high, so all in all suddenly these low sxoring venues in lanka will turn to high scoring onin case of the pak lanka series, pak had a good bowling line up resricting lanka nd pak themselves had a crap batting line up, which couldnt score a sh1t

It was declared in Feb this year. Old news. I'm in favor of this. Long home season ahead. Dhoni, Zaheer, Sehwag, Sachin, Yadav should be rested. Most of our batsmen do well against SL so good opposition to start the season against. Also will give our young players experience for world T20 as conditions in the new grounds and pitches have changed a bit since we toured there last time.
