Different Players for Different Format - A Good Idea?

Vernon Philander has been left out of the ODI series against England because the selectors want him to focus just on Test and not have to adjust his bowling to the shorter format Should India do the same with our bowlers to increase their effectiveness? Zaheer is the exception to the case because he's effective in both formats and we need his leadership in the bowling department

Should Indian Selectors find batch of 4-5 players for each format and let them focus on their specific format This will also help with our injury problems Ishant, Yadav, Ahmed - Test Dinda, Aaron, Irfan, Sreesanth, Vinay - ODI/T20
