King Tendulkar
This is not about wether he should or not? But we have now lost 7 away test matches in a row. Will Dhoni do the honurable thing and call it a day as test captain? Link to comment
Manny_Pacquiao
i think he will go if the selection committee goes, they are joined at the hip IMO Link to comment
shinchan
he will be there until shrikanth is there in selection committee Link to comment
asterix
Depends upon what the wife says. Shopping, honeymooning, sight seeing, go carting, special movie premieres etc are some of the perks of travelling abroad free on BCCI money and securing lots of spare time by losing matches in 2 & half days... Nova
No I don't think he will resign. He still has full faith in his batsmen and he thinks it's just a matter of time that the team will click as a unit. Change will come with replacement of a couple players (Laxman, Dravid) but the captain won't change as of now. Link to comment
NeutralCat
Why would he resign? Captain cool think our world class batting will click in Adelaide. Link to comment
Shunya
he wil continue as long as Sachin is there.... Link to comment
Ultimate_Game
He should from Tests as a captain and a player, and continue playing and captaining in the shorter formats. Others who need to resign... 1. Our retirees - Laxman, Dravid and Tendulkar 2. BCCI big-wigs for taking accountability for the fiasco 3. Selectors for not planning transition and hoping the 40 year olds will get us through another 2 years 4. Coaching staff. God knows what they do. Link to comment
saneindian
We do not play a test series for the next 7-8 months. By then, these whitewashes will be forgotten especially if we win the CB series and Asia cup. And because we play at home for next two years, we will surely do well in tests and MSD will carry on. In fact going by what he said in the post match conference, do not be surprised to see the same team (with Ashwin replacing Vinay) play the 4th test. Link to comment
Needforspeed
Knowing Dhoni, I think he will not resign. India have their next away series in S.A. Dec 2013. . By then the ATGs would have retired and the team will need serious re-building with a tough tour of SA coming up. Thats the time he will quit. Link to comment
India-KXIP fan
I hope so. He has not performed well enough overseas and his defensive tactics only work in limited overs cricket. We need an agressive captain and a better batsmen overseas. We should try out guys like Uday Kaul. Link to comment

adi B
its better if he resigns, rather than getting kicked.... but knowing the bcci nd selectors committee he`ll stay Link to comment
tothepoint
Better question is whether Dravid,Sachin and Laxman will ever retire? Link to comment
Needforspeed
At least Dhoni is out of the next test. Lets see what happens. Link to comment
vamos_rafa
He was not bad with his captaincy in Perth. After the blitzkering by Warner, he was spot on during the 2nd day's play. The batsmen are just not scoring and he himself is guilty of it. Link to comment
Pagalpanti
As captain can't blame him much as batting failed big time and a captain can't do much with a bowling lineup like this but he has to go because his batting is just too poor for tests. Link to comment
Marut
Resign? Should he be in the team as a player? Link to comment
Zelch
I am surprised no one in the media is asking for Dhonis resignation. I know he is captain cool and all with a world cup win but beaten black and blue in 7 consecutive tests is really pathetic. Moreover he seems very uninterested to even pretend to be hurting from these thrashings. Link to comment
