India-KXIP fan
Which legislation? All Australian bookstores seem to carry multiple copies of it: http://www.bookworld.com.au/search/mein+kampf#stock_status=InStock%7CPreOrder http://www.dymocks.com.au/Search/results.aspx?N=0&Ntk=All&Ntx=mode+matchallpartial&Nty=1&Ntt=mein+kampf http://www.qbd.com.au/search.htm?q=mein+kampf&x=0&y=0 This! If it was banned bookstores would not advertise. Any proof of it being banned?
The Outsider
Talking out of your rectum again? Mein Kampf = Banned in Australia! Here, read this: http://www.ourcivilisation.com/cooray/btof/chap212.htm Since you are so sure it is LEGALLY available in Australia, why don't you go to the nearest bookstore and see if you can get me a copy? :fishing: From your link: It may succeed in having Adolf Hitler's Mein Kampf banned in Australia, unless it qualifies as a work of art. " Does that mean the book is banned in Ozzie English?
Crookbond
Hmmm, lets see. This Hitler fellow invaded other countries, enslaved people in concentration camps, carried out a systematic genocide against homosexuals/disabled/certain ethnic groups amongst other unspeakable acts - You seriously see nothing wrong in naming a shop after this person? Seriously? Nothing wrong in places named after this guy: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mahmud_of_Ghazni ? Yes - Sree because it is only a "name". I don't see the shop as a symbol of Hitler. I just see another shop trying to do business without causing any harm to anyone. Same with Ghazni, the shops do not call people & tell them that you should invade India and destroy people like Ghazni did. If they do that, that's treason else I see absolutely no problem in using a name. This reminds me I used to work with a guy whose name was "James Bond Singh". I am not kidding. Best of all our business associates were also placed and belonged to the UK. I never left a chance to wind this guy up. I used to introduce him every single time! And the legislation can't be any more clear on this.! Show us the legislation which says Mein Kampf is banned in Australia. Take up your grievances with the bookstores on why they are/aren't advertising it! I am repeating myself but here it is, once again: Mein Kampf = Banned in Australia by LAW! Crookbond
I am quite curious on Mein Kampf been banned in Australia. But, the more I search the more it seems it is not. http://www.lib.unimelb.edu.au/collections/special/exhibitions/bannedbooks/exhibition/australia.html This seems to be pretty authentic too but you require a subscription http://www.austlit.edu.au/specialistDatasets/Banned
Yoda-esque
Sree..You are contradicting yourself here. Per the Oz thread, this also should be no more than a case of victimization . Yet you malign the (so-called) victims in that thread and sympathize with them in this?

Like I said, I do not know why it is being advertised on their search engines. Maybe you can go and find out. I would also like to know! As for the legislation, I will admit I don't know the exact page/verse off the top of my head but to the best of my knowledge, it is not *supposed* to be legally available in Australia!
