G_B_
this is a horrible pitch mumbai made a huge error by not batting first. If they can get ROI out inside 450 i think they will fancy their chances for getting a victory on a first innings lead. Link to comment
JaFanatic
Urgh Rayudu needed a ton here to have a chance. Raina will get picked if he doesn't get out soon. c'mon raina :cheer: Link to comment
G_B_
Nayar needs to take the new ball now Might get 1-2 more wickets Link to comment
Cevno
You have seen them in FC cricket and based on that' date=' they dont inspire much confidence and I am talking about who have already been with Indian team and I have seen likes of Rahane, Tiwary, Rohit, Mukund, Vijay, Raina, Yuvaraj etc., not uncapped players which I have not seen.[/quote'] Rohit and Rahane haven't played Tests yet, tbf. Mukund has played in tough conditions. Even Pujara didn't look too flash in SA last time. Similarly Kohli in Windies or in the first few matches in Australia. You need to identify the right talent and then back them. Some will perform straight up and others will grow into their role. England fans rated Root less than others before the last series. But now are more confident about him a lot. Link to comment
Cevno
c'mon raina :cheer: You are a Australia supporter ? Link to comment
G_B_
why is nayar not taking the new ball? there is a new batsman at the crease and we are bowling part timers. Sharma has had his effect. Its now time to attack and not let the rest of India see the day out poor captaincy from nayar Link to comment
Cevno
New ball taken. C'mon Dhawal get Raina! Inswinger pls. Link to comment
G_B_
for **** sake nayar is being a **** captain. Saha cashed in on sharma Link to comment
G_B_
must be said Dhawal has had a pretty ordinary day. His first spell was good. Second spell was ****. Vijay really laid into him. Link to comment

G_B_
WHAT A BALL by dhawal it just shows how stupid Nayar was to delay the new ball after Rayadu was out good chance Dhawal would have got another. Kulkarni to Saha, OUT, plumb lbw. Too good for Saha. He is caught on the crease as this length ball nips in and hits him right in front. Easy decision, but the umpire takes his time before sending Saha on his way WP Saha lbw b Kulkarni 17 (19b 4x4 0x6) SR: 89.47 Link to comment
G_B_
Mumbai have salvaged something in the last session. the new ball is 4 overs old and IMO they still have about 10 overs of the new ball left before it starts losing its sheen. Dhawal needs to step up for mumbai tomorrow. Rest of India have a longish tail and IMO Mumbai need to keep ROI under 450 to have a chance to win this match based on first innings lead. Bhajji is going to have to play an innings with the bowlers to follow him. Link to comment
Cevno
Saha played some good shots but Dhawal got him Dhoni sahab toh khush honge. Someone get Raina ffs. Link to comment
G_B_
with the new ball tomorrow Mumbai need to bowl at the stumps in the first hour today dhawal and khan were tight in the first hour but did not make the batsman play much, which allowed them to cash in when the ball got old. Dhawal and khan should bowl full at the stumps even if it means more runs being scored. Thats exactly how Dhawal got Saha out. The umpiring in this match so far has been good. Maybe rather than playing so many ranji matches we need more of Irani/Duldeep type of matches. Link to comment
SLICKR392
Viru out with an upset stomach? Nayar will get hammered in international level, bowling 3 wide filth outside off stump and brings them back in every now and then at 120Ks or less. Might work against the domestic bullies. Link to comment
Dumbbells
Hi guys, How quick was Dhawal kulkarni? I could not follow this match..... Link to comment
