Kathick in for injured Dhoni. Patel in for VRV despite Gambhir stamping on his left hand yesterday. Looks like sehwag and jaffer stay in the team. Pitch with wear looks like it may take spin later :wtg: Need to bat first

Re: Dhoni out but Munaf in but no Gambhir! Dropping Sehwag into the middle order was a smart move. I reckon it was well over due. Veeru's spin will be handy on this crumbler of a wicket. Jaffer is the one who should have been replaced by Gambhir. There is not much bounce on offer, and Gambhir could have really cashed in; since he is in such great form.

Re: Dhoni out but Munaf in but no Gambhir! Did not post much over the past 15 days or so and my views have not changed because of this Jaffer century. He should not have been dropped. Fact is that all openers have struggled on the pitches of the first two tests and Jaffer had two solid innings at Durban though could not carry on. The guy is here for the long haul.
