Pathetic Pak allegations

Ridiculous by pakistan! So bitter and jealous! CHENNAI, September 18: K Jothikumaran, secretary of the Indian Hockey Federation, said on Tuesday that he did not feel that there was any need to react to the allegations made by the Pakistan Hockey Federation. PHF has alleged that India won the Asia cup hockey tournament due to "biased and partial umpiring" decisions. "The tournament was watched by millions of people. Most of the matches were played in front of a capacity crowd. Every participating nation appreciated the conduct of the tournament. I do not know whether the said accusations are PHF's official version. If that's the case, then that shows the pathetic state of affairs in Pakistan hockey," Jothikumaran told TOI . He added that the accusation probably stems from Pakistan's desperation after the world body (FIH) decided to move the Champions Trophy out of that country due to security reasons. It may be recalled that PHF had earlier accused the Indian media of writing stories favouring the shifting the Champions Trophy out of Pakistan. Indications are that FIH may allow India to organise the Champions Trophy. On the umpiring decisions, Jothikumaran said India too got some bad decisions. "We were denied a penalty stroke in the match against China. There were other questionable decisions... Despite all this, everybody was appreciative of the way India performed in the event," he said. PHF spokesman Altaf Sabir has said that the India-Korea final (India won 7-2) was tainted by biased decisions.
