Royal Challengers Bangalore thread

It's bizarre to understand Royal Challenger's selection and on-field tactics. Not picking a spinner ahead of Henriques was a big selection mistake. A spinner would be better - someone like a Muralitharan would've sealed the game particularly for a horrible batting line up like KKR. I also saw repeated "old tricks" from the "new captain" Kohli. The mid on/mid off up strategy doesn't work in modern era and particularly T20 where even mishits go for a six. The squarish 3rd man for Abhimanyu Mithun whose stock ball comes in was also baffling. Kohli has shown little appetite for HW as was shown in the game against Kings XI Punjab as well when he avoided the straightish long on/off for David Miller.

Didn't worked even against :pw: when their RR is under 7. Other option is Syed , who is also a flop. Kartik - doesn't take much wickets any way. As for as Captaincy - its bit overrated in T20.

Didn't play on the same pitch against PWI. Muralitharan on this pitch against the great KKR batting may have been better than Mithun da. Captaincy over rated or not; Kohli misses strategies.
Even master Captain not able to win even after his bowlers took 4 wickets fro nothing.

They should not play Pujara as a opener. Mayank Agrawal is much better than him, at least he can give you some quick runs and ease the pressure from Gayle at the start. Pujara instead have only added more pressure to Gayle.

He will waste balls in the middle order too when we really need big hit' date=' not that Tiwary is doin that but still[/quote'] he can rotate strike and hit once he settles down.will be far more consistent than Tiwary

A no 5 or 6 batsman should have the ability to hit boundaries at will, not take singles. His game is not for T20s. Another option is to use him as a crisis player like CSK use Badri.
