Chetan Bhagat ‏@chetan_bhagat BJP fired a corrupt CM. They will lose Karnataka. If they had kept him, they'd have won.If voters don't care for corruption, who's to blame?
bloody outrageous thing to say, especially after people came out in record numbers to express their displeasure. The BJP and yeddy humiliated and hurt so many people by putting up a continuous and disgusting display of greed and drama for 5 years, and to top it off let garbage rot on the streets of bangalore just before the elections. What if this had led to an outbreak of disease? Does chetan bhagat or his family live in bangalore? The desperate crooks got exactly what they deserved.

It's all money, caste and religion which works in politics.

Counting will begin now. Its' good that entire election process done and dusted in 2 days [2 days gap in between], compare to earlier 3/4 phase elections. Hope we will see this in every election happens in India.

Congress leader Siddaramaiah says, "My confidence is always there. Congress will get 120+ seats We will not need to be in any alliance. What magic does Modi has? He has no magic. Karnataka is a secular state. Rahul Gandhi has done so many programmes here."

Well this coming true. ex-Corrupt CM taking votes away from BJP as KJP eats into BJP strongholds. Caste and religion playing bigger role, sometimes the voters are forsaken.

People are adjusted to corruption , unless its too difficult to make a living people really don't care. Media played a big role in highlighting Yeddy , have to see what they will say if he wins few seats.

Yeah, when Modi and BJP win it's because of development and when Congress wins it's because of money, religion, and caste. :nice: Anyhow, looks like another electoral disaster for BJP and Namo.
Depending on state and context. Dont know any one claimed Congress won Rajastan or Maha because of religion or caste. but the current Karnataka politics runs mainly on caste. [Thats how Yeddy became so powerful, he belongs to the biggest caste in karantaka]

Yep that's why the corrupt BJP govt is losing
KJP is Yeddy's party - its leading 10 seats Sriramulu,Karunakar reddy are no longer with BJP they are leading. actually speaking this election clearly showed corruption doesnt matter - even after throwing out corrupt people BJP lost badly.

yeddy was with bjp till about a year ago or 6 months back. To claim that bjp lost because they threw out yeddy is totally insincere. If that were true how sincere is the attack on congress in the center?caste and religion disappear then?
