WTF with sub-continental type wicket excuse

comments on cricinfo: #1 Countering a distinctly sub-continental type wearing wicket, caught in a web of spin and swing, facing a daunting first-innings score South Africa refused to surrender and kept India's lead down to 41. #2 The pitch prepared for the game must have been a small stake through his heart, a surface that India were likely to revel on even as it largely neutralised South Africa's four-man pace attack. As at Nagpur in 2004, when a green top greeted an incredulous Australian side, the curator had come up with 22 yards that were more to the liking of the visiting team. Wasim Jaffer, who cashed in to the tune of 116 runs, went so far as to consider it a New Year gift. --- WTF is with the 'subcontinental' type wicket Cr#P? did groundsmen from India go there and turned a well made green top into a dust bowl like these people are saying? truth is, after what happend in 1st test had SA are cra##ing in their pants and they did not DARE to produce another green top. Now that they have tied the series 1-1, this pitch provided the best way to play out a respetble draw and avoid further humiliation. So doubters need to get a life and give credit to India on outperforming SA on their own wickets.

Re: WTF with sub-continental type wicket excuse Typical. Play down our wins and magnify our losses. If India wins, its because the other team played badly. If India loses, it's because we are pathetic, other team is the greatest team since sliced bread and that we are a nation of sporting failures etc etc etc.
