Captain of Bhangra
Hahaha Veer, my sentiments exactly. His relaxed ice-man approach has made him a World Cup winning captain after just 2 weeks in the job! And that includes a win over Aus, and 2 wins over Pak. Let's hope he can transfer this successfully to the 50 overs game... Link to comment

Captain of Bhangra
If this tournament doesn't prove that all seniors should be dropped in limited overs cricket now, there's no hope. Imagine how old Sachin, Dravid, and Ganguly will be in 2011. Now is the time to drop them for good and let these guys develop so we can bring home the bigger trophy then... The 3 players named above will also benefit, and you'll see vast improvements in their Test performances... Link to comment
Lurker
Full marks to Dhoni. The man has lived a tough life, did his grind in domestic circle and all the battles have mentally toughened him. Ladies and gentlemen say Hello to our third World Cup winning captain(after Kapil 1983 and Sunny 1985). Link to comment

Actually he is a WC champion right now so he has already done it. But yes it is a forgone conclusion now that Dhoni shall lead India in 2011. Incidentally it would be interesting to see how this shapes up the Indian Test skippership dogma. Link to comment
coffee_rules
he seems to be a cross between Ganguly and Dravid. Doesn't lose his cool like Dravid, but still removes his shirt after the win!!! Link to comment

What the heck are they talkign about pressure is when u have to worry about where from ur next meal is coming.. Dhoni has seen it all yes may be never had to worry about next meal but most certainly coems form the humblest background possible .. Fear of failure is not there that's the half job done and other half his sharp midn take care of..:two_thumbs_up::two_thumbs_up: Link to comment

Dhoni from backwaters of Ranchi, RP Singh from Gorakhpur, Sree from Kerela, Yuvraj from Patiala, Sehwag from Najafgarh, Bhajji from another little town and so on. Is there a reason why small towners are more aggressive than say a Mumbaite or a Bangalorean? Maybe there is. The question of putting that extra fight is always there, the question of how else to get maximum out of it and so on. Link to comment
