Easy to forget he was a useful ODI bat lower middle order, especially toward the end of his career after techincal chinks were resolved. After 2000 he averaged 42 in 81 ODIs compared to career average of 35 I always imagine an All time SA ODI team would have a very handy lower middle order of ABdV, Rhodes and Klusener at 5,6,7.
