King
Goodness me, imagine if India had won the 50 overs WC this year??? The cricketers wouldn't have been able to set foot on India it would have been that filled. I think it's a bit overdone. Link to comment

Ram
All this celebrations are just cheap publicity stunts master-minded by political parties to cash in on the feel good factor that prevails in the country now. These shameless idiots lose no chance to divert people's attention from the real issues. Add to this mess an opportunistic media and some selfish film stars , and you have perfect recipe for the greatest drama enacted. Seriously , what does the Nationalist Congress party or Shah Rukh Khan have anything to do with India's victory ? Link to comment

What real issues? issues will always be there..that doesn't stop people from having fun Marus ? Thats the worst manner yet someone has mis-spelt my name.. :D Dont mis-understand me. Never against people celebrating. What i am dead against is either a group or an individual hijacking the entire occasion and making it seem as though they had a big hand in whatever that happened. That is sickening ! Link to comment
bigdhoni7
wow the sensex hits 17000! and i dont see anything wrong with this celebration. especially when you see that "rain dancing" old lady enjoying the hell out of this. this will be a memory of a lifetime. Link to comment

Ram
All credit to the cricketers. They deserve all the credit and plaudit they can get, because they have been responsible for creating smiles on the faces of millions of Indians. There can be no greater deed than that ! Link to comment

yoda
This is a world championship where we defeated eng, SAF, AUS and then PAK in the finals. This is as good as it is going to get. There are parades in the US for the domestic championships (NBA, NFL, etc)_ which are termed as world championships, EVERY YEAR. You can only celebrate what you have won and right now what we have is a 20/20 world championships and not a 50-50 one. Do you want folks to wait till 2011 and win that and only then celebrate? Ram
mm' date=' teri tone ekdam se change kyon ho gayi?? kisi ne daataaa???[/quote'] Tics , i am elated at India's victory, but downright furious at these politicians making it their occasion. Simple as that. Anyways , this is not the time to be critical. Let the celebrations continue ! Link to comment
