Anyone remember Clowny Gavaskar? Only saw him play a couple of games then he disappeared off the radar. They should make a separate team for children of former cricketers. They would probably be thrashed by the likes of Zimbabwe and Pakistan.

+1...How is it ethically right for a selector to select his own son? If the son is in the list of prospective players...the selector should abstain from the selection team. You can't have it both ways. Lost all respect for the father son.

Not seen him play so will take peoples word that he is not Intl class but to be fair he did have a good FC season , admittedly that might have been two seasons ago. Also I think his batting may be more suited to Ltd Overs format than R Dhawan. There have been worse cases of nepotism, Rohan G probably one, also Jaydev Shah son of Niranjan Shah playing for India A If looking for Ltd Overs all rounders Binnys name is probably at the forefront.

Disagree with everyone here..Binny is tailor made for shorter format..Yeah, he bowls in low 120s but a very clever opreator and can bowl 5-6 overs without giving much..Also he has been scoring runs in domestic tournaments consistently , so a very decent bat at 6/7.
