Kejriwal himself might win' date=' especially seeing how Sheila Dixit has become increasingly unpopular but if Cong decides to go for someone else (like Ajay Maken) as CM candidate then Kejriwal would have a very tough fight.[/quote'] also, 3 terms is a long tenure anyways. Right, he may cause nuisance , but there's a decent chance even now of Bjp getting a majority in delhi.

NEW DELHI: With almost two months to go to the Delhi assembly elections, the Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is gathering momentum, making it a genuinely triangular contest, an opinion poll has suggested. The net outcome, the poll projects, is likely to be a hung assembly with no party in a position to form the government. The poll, conducted by AC Nielsen for ABP News, indicates that AAP will win 26% of the votes and 18 seats in the 70-member assembly. The same agency's poll in August had predicted 15% of votes and just 8 seats for AAP. It also indicates that Arvind Kejriwal is the most preferred CM candidate with 32% backing him, against 27% each for CM Sheila Dikshit and BJP's Vijay Goel. The poll projects that BJP will emerge as the largest party with 28 seats and 34% votes, while Congress will finish second with 22 seats and 27% of the votes. For both these parties, the latest seat tallies are down from what was predicted in the August survey. That round had estimated that BJP would win 32 seats and Congress 27. What would be worrying the two national parties most about these projections, if they believe them, would be that the new entrant to Delhi's politics is already snapping close on the heels of Congress and is not too far behind BJP in both seats and votes. What if this momentum continues, could well be the big question in the minds of their leaders.
The 11 percentage point surge in AAP's vote share between the August and October polls has come largely from eating into the votes of 'others' in the fray. That could spell trouble for BSP. BJP, in fact, is shown as retaining the 34% vote share it had in the August poll, while Congress' share is down by two percentage points from the earlier estimate. In the CM stakes too, Kejriwal's jump from 24% in August to 32% in the latest poll hasn't come at the expense of either Dikshit or Goel. In fact, those two have also gained from 22% and 26% respectively two months ago. The percentage of those who indicated in 'no preference' is down from 14% in August to 2% now, and the bulk of that seems to have gone Kejriwal's way

New Delhi: The third player in the Delhi Assembly elections, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) claims that it is ahead of the ruling Congress and the main opposition BJP in the polls. The AAP ideologue and a noted Psephologist Prof Yogendra Yadav released the findings of the internal survey conducted by the party in New Delhi on Friday. According to the survey the AAP claims it is clearly ahead of Congress and BJP in 17 assembly seats by garnering 10 per cent more votes than both the parties. In 4 seats, it is slightly ahead and in 12 seats, the AAP is in a neck and neck fight with Congress and BJP. In 12 more seats, the APP is marginally behind the Congress and BJP and the party hopes to bridge the gap. According to the survey, the AAP can get up to 45-48 seats in a 70 member assembly if all goes well. Delhi goes to polls on December 4. The results will be declared on December 8

Bjp's divided house may help AAP. Goel doesn't have good relations with sushma n jaitley. He n his baniya lobby didnt support shushma in 1998, she couldn't become CM. Harshvardhan is the RSS choice, has Punjabi lobby with him as well as support of sushma n jaitley. Goel should not create trouble for his party now.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has strengthened its stranglehold over Chhattisgarh and pushed the Congress out of the power game. The party is on an upswing and will win 61-71 seats in the 91-member Assembly, pushing the Congress to a distant second with only 16-24 seats, according to the pre-poll survey conducted by Centre for the Study of Developing Societies (CSDS) for CNN-IBN and The Week

Corruption and rising prices may crush the Congress government of Ashok Gehlot and result in the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) storming back to power after five years. According to the CNN-IBN, The Week and CSDS Pre-Poll Survey the opposition BJP will register a decisive victory in the Assembly elections. The survey shows the BJP returning to power with 115-125 seats in the 200-member Assembly while the ruling Congress is expected win just 60-68 seats. The BSP is likely to get 4-8 seats and others may get 8-12 seats according to the projection by Dr Rajeeva Karandikar, Director, Chennai Mathematical Institute. It is not looking like a closely contested poll as predicted by many others. Former chief minister Vasundhara Raje-led BJP is expected to garner 41 per cent of votes registering a seven-per cent gain for the BJP when compared to its 2008 vote share of 34.3 per cent. The ruling Congress may end up getting just 32 per cent of votes. It will be a huge loss of 5 per cent of votes, when compared to its 2008 vote share of 36.8 per cent.

Delhi is slipping away from the ruling Congress with even the image of Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit, who has scored a hat-trick of victories in Assembly elections, taking a massive beating this time. The third player in the fray, Arvind Kejriwal's Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is likely to both eat into the Congress pie and apply the brakes on the BJP's march, leading to a hung Assembly in India's only city state, according to a CNN-IBN, The Week and CSDS Pre-Poll survey. The survey findings show that the ruling Congress, which has been in power for the past 15 years, is likely to get 19-25 seats in the 70-member Assembly. Surprisingly, the new kid on the block, the AAP, led by anti-corruption activist Arvind Kerjiwal is also projected to get 19-25 seats. The main opposition BJP is marginally ahead with 22-28 seats, according to the seat projections by Dr Rajeeva Karandikar, Director, Chennai Mathematical Institute. If these projections come true, the result will throw up a hung Assembly, making it impossible for any party to form the government unless there are sizeable defections.

:hysterical: BJP was expected to easily come to power in MP, Chattisgarh and Rajasthan even before Modi was made the Campaign Committee Chairman but of course now his bhakts will say that if BJP wins then it will be because of him.
BJP was expected to be trounced in Karnataka, but it didn't stop media and congis to make laughable claims that Modi's presence lead to such an embarrassing loss.
