Even seniors like gauti, zak, and viru will play under leadership of pujara. :yess: But playing with gauti and viru means he will be playing in the first or second over :(( Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
 So in 10 years time when India's dominant side in world cricket will they be saying "Cheteshwar Pujara's Indians won 16 tests in a row" :fear: But still "Virat Kohli's Indians won consecutive World Cups in ____ & ____" sounds better :agree: Sent from my desktop using keyboard

Pujara continues to captain the longer format. Clear sign from selectors that he will be first choice after dhoni retires to lead the test side :proud: Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Good thinking......we've been crying out for different captains for different formats for a long time.......Chepu to take over from Dhoni for Tests......

or dont play either and give the spot to a deserving youngster.Gauti could have captained
Well Kohli himself is a youngster, he's an established ODI player but in tests he's still to find his footing. Selectors could've experimented with the ODI squad vs Aus and given Rohit/Rahane/Kohli chances instead of Pujara.

means odi career is over for sehwag and gambhir...chand and robin competing for 2nd openers slot.
No. Sehwag and Gambhir are not selected as they will be representing Delhi in the Challenger Trophy and the dates would clash if they were selected for other ODs. @Others: Harbhajan was not picked as he will be busy in CLT20. Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 4

After sweating it out indoors at the NCA for most of the day, Yuvraj, the skipper of the Indian ‘A’ side, batted at the nets late in the afternoon for about 20 minutes before going back indoors. The rest of the Indian players were expected to arrive on Thursday evening or on Friday. Meanwhile, the West Indies team arrived here at around 8 am on Thursday and they are expected to have a practice session on Friday. Only vice-captain Veerasammy Permaul did not come and is expected on Saturday morning. Three one-day limited overs, one T20 and three four-day matches will be played. The limited over matches and T20 will be played at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium here, while the four-day matches will be in Mysore, Shimoga and Hubli. Pk and ikp injured. Legend VK and Sid Kaul instead for A tour Cricinfo.com (will post link later) Some batsman from kerala included too. Who is he? (VA Jagadish) http://www.espncricinfo.com/india/content/story/671501.html Injuries rule Praveen and Irfan out of India A squad ESPNcricinfo staff Quick bowlers Praveen Kumar and Irfan Pathan have been ruled out of the limited-overs games against West Indies A over the next week due to injuries. They have been replaced in the India A squad by Vinay Kumar and Punjab's Siddarth Kaul. Irfan has been regularly troubled by injuries since a starring role in India's ODI series victory in Sri Lanka last year. A hamstring injury had curtailed his Ranji season, and another one ruled him out of the tri-series in the Caribbean in July. He was part of India's squad in the Champions Trophy but didn't get a game. Praveen has also had a troubled year, highlighted by a suspension after a disciplinary breach during the Corporate Trophy in February. He hasn't represented India in a year and a half, and hasn't played competitive cricket since the 2013 IPL. Both Irfan and Praveen had been picked for the India A squad for the three one-dayers and one Twenty20 against West Indies A, but were not in the squads for the four-day games. The first one-dayer will be played in Bangalore, on Sunday. The selectors made one other change to the squad, including Kerala batsman VA Jagadeesh for the second and third four-day games.
