Vilander
You have made a very good point here. This topic deserves a separate thread. You can make it . Cricinfo is definitely an anti Indian bowler website for sure. According to them -- Umesh , who bowls 137 to 150 k , is Fast Medium !! Aaron , who bowls similar speeds, is medium. !! Shami is medium, !! Srinath, who was at times quicker than Donald, is Fast-medium. !! NCN, who bowls 135 to 142 k, is Fast. Cricinfo's classification cannot be trusted. Why this partiality from the best website on cricket in the planet on two of the biggest cricket markets. WHY ? Link to comment
express bowling
So, Kulasekhara and Matthews are quicker than Aaron and same pace as Srinath ! ! Philander is the same pace as Umesh and Finn. ! ! Cricinfo. :(( Link to comment

saneindian
lol fast medium, medium fast, medium, fast, slow - does it really matter? Didn't check they mention such things in player profile. Watch the matches, watch the speed gun, decide for yourself. Link to comment
G_B_
one thing i realised is Srinath has put on a lot of weight since retirement. Link to comment
express bowling
There are so many debates going on, based on information and classifications on Cricinfo on cricinfo, that this faux pas cannot be ignored. We have to remember that not everyone can watch a lot of cricket. They form their opinion by referring to info on Cricinfo. Youngsters get an idea about players of yesteryears by referring to this website. These anomalies need rectification. Link to comment
SLICKR392
So Mathews and Kulasekara are as fast as Finn, Yadav and Aaron? Link to comment

MCcricket
Umesh, Aaron, Suyal, Shukla are all fast, Shami f/m, Ishant has regressed to f/m , YES there r diff standards as far as qualifying Indian pacers Link to comment
saneindian
Am yet to across a debate on internet or elsewhere where these Cricinfo profile related information is used as a fact! Not even on ICF. In an earlier era when speed gun was not there, there could have been a case of such information giving people a false opinion. Not so in the modern era where even domestic matches have got speed guns. In fact even on Radio commentary, these days the bowling speeds have started to find a mention! Link to comment

Why cat it be accurate like everything else they publish after all they are the cricket worlds bible. Link to comment
