With the amount of skills Tim Southee possess should have been a much better bowler. A thoughtful bowler. Great yorker' date=' nice movements he gets, also reverses with old ball, Also has a decent bouncer.[/quote'] should have ? he is still so young and last year looked as good as anderson did if not better like you side he is thinking bowler and that comes with experience and he already bows like osme one who has played cricket for 6-7 years

If he executes all his skills rights he is an all season bowler who can do well anywhere. Clouderson will just have to wait for clouds :winky:

It was not quick and bouncy for bowlers bowling at 130ks.
Morkel was there and only Steyn did not play and I doubt he will play here too as he had some injury issue in Pak series and Morkel too was not playing in Pak series for some reasons. So, you will face mostly 130-135 bowlers here too unless they decide to play Hardus Viljoen and Chris Morris who can bowl 140+.

How lean was that patch? In which series prior to the CT did he contribute in? In 2011, he has that one good series against WI at home & away. Seriously, would Rahane be selected if he have had a pathetic run in 2 consecutive series? Had a horrendous series in SL. Gets selected for the Pak series. Failed there as well and gets a shot in the England series. Whereas Rahane doesn't score in 2 out of 3 games against England and that's all the chance he gets. You can't expect a player to perform after being juggled around and picking him out of blue after being benched for over an year. And he did grab his opportunity in England but had a lousy series against them at home and guess what? He gets dropped. He's unsure of his spot in the side after being played around and his confidence has hit the ground. Selection is to be blamed for it, not Rahane. I am glad Rohit is doing well but don't give me this grabbing the opportunity crap. Rohit hooked on to his spot in the XI after plenty of backing from the selectors and captain. Rahane hasn't had that luxury.
There is nothing fishy here dude...he is not a son of a rich dad or a son of a political leader. Captain and selector see something in him and gave him so many chances. It might feel unfair for few but when there some superior talent in hand and problem is with the mind-set, nothing wrong with pursuing and persisting with the talent. That's exactly what the Indian team management have done and now they are reaping the fruits. Take my word for it, he will be one of the mainstay for India. He is one guy, who has the potential to be successful on pacy pitches. Yeah!! players like Rahane will be impacted by this...But he is still lucky, there are some vacant spots available and he can grab them. But think about guyz like Badrinath...he did so much in domestic cricket and he never had the opportunity. I think Badrinath and Rahane is of the same league.

Not surprising.. The last time we went abroad' date=' MSD looked by and large clueless with the bat. The 8-0 drubbing against England/Australia was the lowest point of MSD's career as a batsmen.[/quote'] He still scored more than most specialist batsmen. Only Dravid and Sachin scored more than him. Yes much more was expected of him but probably not his lowest point. In between those tours he also scored a century at home.

I don't know about his scores but he sure looked like a walking wicket in those test matches
