They didn't didgeridoo well in Brisbane, but could trip to sacred Ayers Rock see England boomerang back in Adelaide? By PAUL NEWMAN Six England cricket stars visited the world heritage site at Ayers Rock on Wednesday as they look to bounce back from a difficult start to their Ashes tour of Australia. Ayers Rock - or Uluru as it is known by Australia's indigenous population - is sacred to the local Anangu people and England fans will be hoping that a delegation including Stuart Broad, Graeme Swann and Matt Prior will have benefitted from its supposed mystic properties. article-2514241-19AB58AD00000578-170_634x414.jpg Howzat?! Uluru is a large sandstone rock which lies 208 miles south west of Alice Springs in Australia's Northern Territory. England are spending this week in the centre of the country before heading south to Adelaide for the second Test which starts on December 5. Alastair Cook's England side slumped to an humiliating 381-run defeat to Australia in the opening Test of the five-match series and this week lost the services of key batsman Jonathan Trott due to a stress-related illness. article-2514241-19AB5B1C00000578-35_634x479.jpgarticle-2514241-19AB5A5C00000578-922_634x361.jpgarticle-2514241-19AC8C2200000578-997_634x510.jpg It's a sign: Stuart Broad posted this picture on Instagram with the words 'Only in Oz!!' With 20 days of cricket still left to play though in what is already shaping up to be one of the most hotly-contested series' in recent times, a bit of rest and recuperation this week could be just what England need to provide the platform for a comeback. The sextet who visited Ayers Rock on Wednesday certainly looked in relaxed mood as they tried their hands at throwing boomerangs, playing digeridoos and dancing with the local Wakagetti cultural dancers. article-2514241-19AB588900000578-644_634x394.jpg Stick to the day job: Wicketkeepers Prior and Bairstow didn't look quite at home with a didgeridoo article-2514241-19AB57BA00000578-518_634x403.jpg Read more: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/cricket/article-2514241/Ashes-2013-Could-trip-Ayers-Rock-England-boomerang-Adelaide.html#ixzz2lua8iIW0
