Should Indian team play two spinners every match.

Lot of blame has been placed on Dhoni for not shepherding this bowling attack properly rightly so but this bowling attack will not win even single tour match forget a test in next 15 months. Other than first innings which looks more flukey than ability these guys have been found wanting big time, They are not even up to basic standards of test cricket. They almost lost a unloseable match in first test. They are not even fit enough to last couple of test matches in a row, how the heck are they going to take wickets. This team stands no chance of winning any test with these bowlers period. Looking at objectively we need somebody to roll their arms in top 6 and if these top 6 are here to stay then I don't think India is going to win even a single match. Indian fast bowlers are simply not tuned to take 20 wickets in match. Yadav may have been missing but I don't think he would have made that much difference, we will see him pretty soon. This team's composition is so screwed up bottom five including keeper cannot bat and top six cannot bowl a lick to help bowlers who are inept and useless. So forgetting the fact that they are playing away from home, should they be playing two spinners in every match and see where that leads this team .

We don't have a 2nd spinner capable of taking wickets on unfriendly tracks. Jaddu has shown true promise, both in ODIs and the oneTest abroad. But, neither Ojha nor Ashwin inspire confidence. Perhaps, one day in the future, Kuldeep Yadav will be our answer to the spin bowling woes.

You can curse scream at guys like Ishant , Zaheer but these people are not used to taking wickets in both innings a test match so how they can take wickets in consecutive tests they are not capable of doing it. They simply are used to chip in with odd wicket here and there and some how call themselves as bowlers. Batting has stood up for most part you can't complain but realistically these guys cannot be asked to do more they were dealt a very rough hand by weather and umpires they were all set to cash in on tiring bowling on first day but they were not allowed to do so.

But I agree that Jaddu looks a better spinner than Ashwin overseas because of his control and the pace at which he bowls.

Perhaps it is harsh, but I simply cannot see Ashwin doing well against strong batting teams on non-spinning wickets - his performances in Australia, in India against England and at the Wanderers are all sufficient evidence of that.

That's our fault. Why are the curators not preparing pitches for tests in India where seamers can take wickets ? Because we like to play on rank turners where we can use spinners to defeat touring sides easily.

so how is cursing the curators going to change anything now, next 15 months no new talent is emerging which is taking indian team to promise land. So how is this team going to handle it, these trundlers are taking this team nowhere, play your best four bowlers and hope they succeed because other option of playing three fast bowlers and one spinner is not going to work.

Umesh, B Kumar, Shami should be our seamers. They should be given a proper go and see how they perform. Other back up bowlers are Dhawal Kulkarni, Ishwar Pandey. We dont need to play 2 spinners everywhere. If the pitch is dry and offering turn, Ashwin could also play.

Do you think spinners will win us matches overseas? If not' date=' why not play young pacers and let them learn instead of deadwood like Zak and hopeless like Ishant.[/quote'] we have not done it so how do i know thats why is it worth a try, we have tried with these so called fast bowlers and it has taken this team nowhere so why not try with extra spinner.

Kumble and Bhajji certainly played together overseas. What we can do is play Ashwin at 6 and bring a bowling alrounder like Rishi at 9. He is as good as BK as a bowler and a better batsman.
