Varun Aaron in the ODIs

Sometimes keeping it simple also works, like it has for Southee. Bowls 131-132 kph on an average, stick to a channel outside off and tries to get it to move slightly. Not much change ball after ball, that same good length spot. Thats consistency which comes after a lot of hard work. Looking at lack of consistency in our bowlers, its easy to figure out they have no idea what they are trying. Every 2nd delivery tends to be a different line, length, pace. Perhaps each of them tries to do too many things.

This is one thing no bowler in our team does and is the most important thing, but then Southee also gets a good bounce due to his height. BK tries to do this even Mohit Sharma, but they do not get the kind of bounce, likes of Southee and Mills get when they hit that 3-quarter length which becomes difficult to hit and gets outside edges. Our strength is bowling fuller length and try to swing it as our bowlers are shorter.

Huh ? You said B K and Varun have to be dropped. They have to be given lot more chances. B Kumar has done well in this series actually but he needs to make some adjustments. Too early to write off Varun. He has got the pace but his line and length went awry after 4 overs which can happen to a bowler making his comeback as he will be nervous. When Ishwar or Pankaj get selected and they go for a few runs in a game, you will be here asking them to be dropped once again. This constant chopping and changing is utter stupidity.
Offcourse. Why should they too be assured of a place in playing 11 if they keep failing like this.Just because he is Jharkand player Dhoni should not give him concession of being selected in spite of being non performer. Those pace bowlers who cannot take wickets and cannot control the ball should be dropped. Why should non performing players be in the team.We cannot carry two non performing pace bowlers out of total 3.One of Bhuvi and Aaron has to be dropped for next match.

Then everyone will be out after every series and we will be playing with all batsmen.:cantstop:

Yes' date=' exactly thats how shite is our bowling talent :haha:[/quote'] As I said you never get ready made bowlers. You will have to pick bowlers you think have potential and talent to deliver in coming years whom you can back to learn, improve, and come good after a sufficient exposure and experience. You cannot drop bowlers from the team just because they bowled poorly in 1-2 matches. In that case, any batsmen who does not do well in a match will have to be dropped too.

Which north zone player replaced a north zone player. Aaron is not a north zone player and he always played for Jharkhand so there is no question of him moving anywhere. Aaron was picked because he has a good List A record and had done well in Emerging trophy playing in Australia in 2011. He got injured and now came back only because has done well in Ranji trophy. I do not think there is any politics about it. Yes, he should have been picked but in tests, not in ODIs. So both are different formats. Pankaj Singh has been out only because when he was first picked in 2007 and then in 2010, he could not impress team management, lacked pace and zip to trouble international batsmen. It is wrong to say that players are not picked based on Ranji performance, but stats are not everything. Look at Ishwar Pandey, he is there because he has done well on over last 3 seasons. Age is also not on Pankaj's side and him being too slow also did not help him when he was picked. Dinda was picked based on FC, but he looked as poor. Now selectors are looking to draft mostly young players who can form the core of the team for future. They are looking at long term. Otherwise, we would easily have played Zak in ODIs here. If you stretching so much FC performance, then you cannot say Binny is a quota pic because he has done well for Karnataka as an alrounder in last 2-3 years, but saying that stats are everything proves right in case of Binny.

iirc Bhajji,Yuvi and ZAK were dropped to be replaced by Awana,Piyush and Jaddu. Two north ZOne players out- 2 in. 1 West zone player out-One in.That was probably or the England - India series. Varun has played for East Zone before. Pankaj Singh is 29 now.He deserved a chance last year itself.Even 29 is not too much.Even tearaway pace bowlers retire by 34.If he was 34 then we can say age is against him.And how fit exactly thse youngsters are.Varun,Umesh etc still get injured in spite of being young. So what if e take chances with a 29 year old bowler who is better bowler at least domestically. Also, Stuart Binny is in team because of Roger Binny .Another bad selection.Hasn't Rishi Dhawan been a much better performer than him?Is Binny the best all rounder we have ? If we get selection process wrong, then we are bound to struggle.

It's not one guy it's the whole icf, according to them they are the fastest in continent of Asia :hehe: This Arron guy is worse then a bowling machine. A bowling machine has more varities then him....
That's funny coming from Pak fan. Pak trundler brigade Junaid, Rahat Ali were struggling to hit 130 and struggling to get 20 SL wickets recently. :cantstop:
