GolGappe
Rohit, Rahane, Rayudu, and Karthik in top 6. This will be most boring batting line-up ever. Too much pressure on Dhawan and Kohli to do bulk of the scoring. Link to comment
mancalledsting
Political strategy by Srinivasan. He's now lining himself up for international authority/management positions and realises he needs to 'clean up' his reputation and display objectivity in order for their to be no question marks over his rulership. Dhoni and Raina should have been dropped ages ago- what a coincidence they're now being dropped as soon as this match fixing thing kicked off and Srni applying for a promotion Link to comment

Gollum
Yeah will miss him against Padosis and Lankans but it is a goo decision keeping in mind our long term interests. Link to comment
CSK Fan
Come back to me when you have spotted them questioning the greatness Ponting and Gilchrist *because* of them averaging in 30s in the subcontinent or Warne finishing with an average in 30s here. Once again, Ponting averages 119 in Pakistan (played only one game), and 44 against Sri Lanka in those countries. Gilchrist did not play in Pakistan and averages 40 in Sri Lanka. Warne averages 28 in Pakistan and 21 in Sri Lanka. All of them are failing in just one country and not the entire sub-continent. On the other hand, when we talk away from sub continent, we talk about SA, Aus, England, New Zealand and sometimes even West Indies. That is 5 countries out of total 8 major countries and failing in them means you fail mostly everywhere Link to comment
Switchblade
Asia Cup will be a tough tournament for all teams: Pakistan bowling coach http://indianexpress.com/article/sports/cricket/asia-cup-will-be-a-tough-tournament-for-all-teams-pakistan-bowling-coach/ Pakistan’s bowling coach Muhammad Akram has said that the upcoming Asia Cup in Bangladesh will be a tough assignment for all teams and not just arch-rivals India but minnows Afghanistan too can pose serious threats on batsman-friendly conditions. Akram, a former Test pacer who has been given a new two-year contract by the Pakistan Cricket Board, said it was not just about India in the Asia Cup. “I think overall it will be a tough tournament for all teams because in conditions which favour the batsmen even Afghanistan can be a threat,†Akram told reporters at the Gaddafi stadium. “Even Afghanistan can’t be taken lightly in the Asia Cup and it is a competition that any team can win,†he pointed out. “All the teams are tough customers in tough conditions but obviously the India match will be important. But the way our bowlers have been bowling in recent times I am confident we can do well.†Asked to comment on India’s strong batting line-up, Akram said Pakistan possesses a formidable bowling attack to tame the willow-wielders of the neighbouring country. “I will give you an interesting fact that in the 2200 overs we have bowled in Test and ODIs in last one and half year, our bowlers have just sent down four no-balls,†he said. Insisting that this was an indication of how disciplined the bowlers were, he said in the last 55 matches Pakistani bowlers had bowled out a team 30 times for less than 200 runs. “If I am not wrong only five times a team has crossed 300 against us in these conditions.†Akram also talked about implementing a rotation policy for the Pakistani bowlers given the huge amount of international cricket being played these days. “I have spoken to the two captains about having a rotation policy for the bowlers. With Muhammad Talha joining us and Umar Gul returning to the team, I think we have the back up to adopt a rotation policy,†he said Link to comment
Lord
He will become better when he comes back. He is that kind of a guy. yeah as long as his comeback series is in Asia Link to comment
SLICKR392
Feck ! That's 2 power hitters out of the attack; Raina & now Dhoni. Hopefully they replace him with a clean hitter. Such a shame to have Rahane and Rayudu down the order. Link to comment
Austin 3:!6
If we win even 1 game in Asia cup...please charge my ICF points. A middle order of Rahane, Rayudu, karthik is worse than BD. I fear atleast we can beat Agf. Link to comment

SLICKR392
Raina could become a better player but would we really miss him? He couldn't score to save his life on those super roads against Australia. While some hack was busy making doubles, others with low order 100s and 50 ball tons. He is totally out of touch and was injustice to Yuvraj to pick him against NZ when both these guys were equally crap in the last couple of series. Link to comment
StriKe
Not but it's a fair drop. Raina had his chance against WI and Aus in Indian pattas. Avg 25 against Aus in 6 matches and Avg 19 against WI in 3 matches. Link to comment

King Tendulkar
Dhoni has been dropped because there was lot of negative vibes against his captaincy :hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical: All that's happening is dhobi is picking and choosing which games he wants to play for India. Like when opted out of 2008 tour to SL to be tip top for IPL, same is happening here! Link to comment
