zep1706
Kohli and Pujara are the only guys in the team that can take over from Dhoni. Rest of them are either uncertain of their spot or quite new (like Rahane). So out of these two which one would you prefer today and why? Anyone outside of these two? Link to comment
Ultimate_Game
Kohli has to be the next captain. He did well when he cptained u-19 team and to me is the one who will take over. Link to comment

Do you remember how good he was tactically then? One good thing about Kohli is that he hates to lose and won't be going through the motion smiling like Dhoni does. His negative point is that he can be a real ***** and so not sure how much respect he would get from his teammates as a leader. But leadership may bring more responsibility to his batting, which is one thing that's missing from his batting especially in test matches. He tends to throw his wicket away. Link to comment
Ultimate_Game
Kohli won the u-19 WC and is someone whose batting will not be affected by captaincy. I rated Gambhir a good captain as well. Pity he's so out of form he's no longer in the team. Link to comment
adi B
Pujara.kohli does have an attitude and Will be aggressive but I guess tactically Chepu Will be better. The biggest problem might be that he wont be able to concentrate purely as a batsman like he is doing ATM Link to comment

India generally want the same captain across all three formats and that may work against Che. Link to comment

rajmarie
Kohli looks super agressive...but what I like is his hatered to defeat no matter the type of match he is playing. He can get over agressive at times...as seen in IPL captaincy period....but I guess only experience can get that under control. IMO his batting will not be affected...but every batsman goes through up & down...& I hope his down is not during his captaincy period. Link to comment

He has become a better batsman after getting more responsibility. Might happen with Kohli too. He is too good a batsman to have regular failures. Link to comment
Deleted_User_1
I would get in Kohli at this point and just get rid of Jharkhandi to avoid any conflict. Link to comment
Pagalpanti
I would get in Kohli at this point and just get rid of Jharkhandi to avoid any conflict. Dhoni doesn't warrant a place in test team (with his poor record away) if he loses captaincy anyway. Link to comment

kaptaan
we need split captaincy kohli for t20/odis,pujara for tests Link to comment
Crookbond
If the benchmark is Dhoni then I think even Manmohan Singh would be a good Test captain. Link to comment
