vvvslaxman
He made a 50* in centurion since then 0, 1, 14, 0, 19*, 1 in world cup, world T20, CT (multi nation tournaments) That is 5 out of 6 failures. Link to comment
kubrickian
They bowl yorkers to him. Yuvraj is susceptible to yorkers especially at the start of his innings as he has a high bat lift. By the time he brings the bat down, the ball sneaks through. Yuvraj got out to a yorker to Wahab Riaz in WC 2011, Mohd Irfan and this game to Bhatti. All very early. Link to comment
Texan
Not just against Pakistan, he now looks like a distant cousin of the player that won the MoS in the World Cup. Link to comment
vvvslaxman
I think they are hoping he will turn around like Raina does. Difference is Yuvraj feet movement used to be much better. Link to comment
GautiMaan
Raina and Dhoni should bat ahead of him, maybe that will give him a chance to hit his way into form Link to comment
rageaddict
But he did give Ajmal an epic phainty in Amdavaad T20 Link to comment
vvvslaxman
But he did give Ajmal an epic phainty in Amdavaad T20 But in world events he just does not click against them. He is a clutch tournament player. But he fails sometimes in a very crucial match. Link to comment

It would be better to invest in a younger player than giving Yuvraj these chances. It is not just the lack of runs, but the manner in which he is getting out. Today, he got a straight yorker, which was at a friendly pace, not express. And he played all over it. The manner in which he is getting out concerns me more than the lack of runs. Probably worth giving few more chances in the W T20... Link to comment
kubrickian
Yuvraj is still a beast in T20s. He is just susceptible to yorkers and short deliveries at the start of his innings. Once he starts off, he will make the opposition pay. He is one of those batsmen who can change the game in a few overs. Absolute match winner. Link to comment
Pagalpanti
2007 he didnt score but strung a good partnership with Gauti, just when he was about to take off he got done in by a slower ball iirc. Anyway his current failure is due to form more than anything. Link to comment
adi B
yuvraj is finished in all formats but i'll still play him in t20s because of his six hitting ability against spinners(especially left arm) .i think he'll fare well against teams who dont have genuine pacers like windies, holland maybe especially those pacers who bowl quick and straight.bowlers like starc will clean him up,he needs to somehow play out the better bowlers(best possible way is to remain off strike) and hit against the weak bowlers Link to comment

puneet28
He should bat at 5 or 6 to play a finisher role. Raina should be at 4. Link to comment
The Realist
He is to more or less finished. If he does not perform in this tournament then that is it. Has done sod all in the IPL recently as well. Will be useless in Aus next year for the WC so best to start identifying younger hungrier replacements. Link to comment
G_B_
Just move Rahane to open and Rohit down the order. Yuvi i am afraid appears to be finished. Will give him one more match v WI. After that he has been given enough chances Link to comment
Switchblade
Full toss LBW right? Was bowled actually https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nj3GCl6Cn-4 Link to comment
JourneyMan
Yuvraj is a power hitter. Although India has a lot of decent batsmen, they only have two seriously big hitters - Yuvi and the Dhoniconda. You need a guy like that in the 20 over format. I agree that Yuvi is pretty much past it (might manage the occasional knock), but the reason he's still being picked is because there aren't any new faces who can hit big yet. Rohit is capable, but he doesn't seem to be going for the slogging role. Link to comment
Switchblade
Yuvi is not the same anymore sadly the gets out like this quite often. Link to comment
Stuge
Full toss LBW right? he was cleaned bowled Link to comment
