You take out Gayle, Kohli and ABDV from RCB......certain win...... You take out Rohit, Pollard and Malinga from MI......certain win...... ....
not fully understood. stronger sides can absorb failure of key players better and more often as they have alternatives. a side like NZ always ends up losing at the semis precisely for this reason.less depth in matchwinning talent

Kxip also has bailey and mandeep in reserve who always did well enough in ipl Problem is onlym bowling and one of miller, maxwell and bailey will fire and sooner or later Johnson It has biggest impact players who are consistent ..let's see how far they go but they will be impossible to beat in mohali in 2 nd part with wicket suiting quick bowlers and side full of Aussies and saffers

What I am saying is that Punjab actually have reasonable depth this season.......the likes of Marsh, and Perera are sitting out.....Mandeep and Manan Vohra are decent local talents who haven't even got a game yet....barring CSK, who have a strong Indian core, no franchise this time around is really star studded...... Professional leagues aren't necessarily always about having the best squad.....it's about having the best team on the pitch.......and by team I mean a set of individuals who complement each other's abilities and skill set.......

Once we are back in Mohali, bowlers will start performing better........dry pitches in the UAE are pretty much nullifying at the moment.......

These guys are all t20 specialist and very consistent ones at that And about local talent Punjab has always done well in that front bT it's harder to do it away from home this squad will perform much better in mohali and beating 2 biggest teams here is big bonus

Vohra and Gurkeerat have been in good form as well. I'm looking forward to Vohra. He could be an impact player up the order. The bowling looks out of sorts at the moment but on these pitches everybody is being carted around. Could've got better spinners for sure.

Reminds me of Pune Puppies' start in IPL 2013. They won the first three and everyone was going absolutely crazy. Then they lost the next 12. :hehe: Clowns XI Punjab will take the same path.
You can't compare puppies with the true Punjabi Lions (unlike the fake Idiyappam lions from Chennai :giggle:).......puppies had about 45 players in their squad with whom they'd play musical chairs every match.....they would change their captain 3 times a season......completely rudderless......Asli sheron are well organized and prepared this season.......

why do they show preity zinta so often during the live coverage? everytime a six is hit or a wicket is taken they cut straight to her celebrating. ipl needs to be more professional in its coverage
they feel we watch the match because of that fat aunty :cantstop:
