This will allow more matches between teams of similar capability which would be more entertaining rather than minnows being trounced by the stronger team(s). The teams in Tier 1 get a direct walkover to the final while Tier 2 compete among themselves to decide the other finalist. Based on overall performance till now, this should be a fair structure for the two tier system Tier 1: CSK Tier 2 : Everyone else Based on performance every year, we can have the chance of relegation.
