Will CSK be able to beat KXIP in this IPL or not?

Nope only Mumbai beat them and that too went to last over ..
Okay, my mistake. But i still think one or two more teams apart from MI were able to restrict him under 50, which is quite an achievement given his prime form. Don't remember which teams kept him under 50 though.

Amongst the pace bowlers Bhuv and Sandeep's bowling has been most impressive to me. Bhuv is able to hit the wicket with upright seam ball after ball and has got movement both ways. That speaks volumes about the control that he is having over the ball in air. The wrist position and release has to be perfect to get that effect. Sandeep probably has got more swing than any other pacer and he has run across batting lineups on two occasions thus far. His key has been bowling full pitch. Generally the pacers who have struggled to pick wickets are the ones who are used to bowl back of length or short pitch (Steyn, Morkel, Johnson, Ishant, Umesh, Vinay). Sandeep is undoubtedly K11P's key bowler imo. He and the batting lienup have been key components of the teams superb run so far and have given enough time for other non performing bowlers to get away with below average performance. High time Mitch and Akshar takes wickets too. Someday's K11P won't have a huge total to defend and Sandeep could be having an off day. Others have to step up now that they got cover for about 6-7 matches.

But that Patel guy has bowled beautifully that spinner and Rishi dhawan helped them chase one low total and bowled beautifully Johnson will be like this but he is key guy who can win matches on his own in mohali About Sandeep to me he is like praveen kumar but with brain and less attitude problems and is product of good mohali track which helps pacers :two_thumbs_up: He bowls full to attack and makes mockery of ftb batsmen :--D

I think Akshar Patel is an all rounder rather than specialist spinner at domestic level. Isn't he ? For expectations with the ball from an allrounder he has bowled good. Rishi Dhawan is almost near to be picked in Indian international if his domestic performances are actually considered. Better than Stuart Binny whom Dhoni opted to pick. So there is hardly any doubt for me whether he should play for K11P or not. Mitch will be the key being the only bowler in that team to have experience of having played play all formats and against most international batsman etc. He has to continue being leader of their pace attack, more so on home matches at Mohali as teams are expected to win most home matches. Dew is a factor which will affect him considering that he has a slingy type of action and often his line is unpredictable even without dew.

But he is needed to make guys like Sandeep more effective Gayle won't play out Sandeep because he knows on other end there is Johnson who can be hard to get away with new ball ..it just makes other bowlers more dangerous and it's always nice to have strike bowler it's what csk is missing actually :winky: Just see bouncer which got dhoni even on this track he can produce such wickets and I think he is big match player ..

Swing is the most toughest factor to tackle however great a batsman is. Sandeep has shown he can swing it well from the line and length wherin it will make things tougher. I have not yet seen Mitch swing it the way he did few months back during the test series. CSK never had a strong bowling attack, even when they won the IPL twice. Their team relies on batters to win matches more often than not. Ashwin is a very negative line bowler who is afraid of bowling anything on the off side because he fears he might be tonked for huge sixers. He tries to bowl on leg side restricting the off side arc for batters but then they are tonking him for sixers on leg side. Hilfy is way past his prime. He even failed to make any impressions in Big Bash 2014 where wickets offered him bounce. The two most experienced bowlers of CSK are struggling to contain the innovative stroke play of the new breed of T20 batters. Dhoni decided not to give third over to Ashwin yesterday. K11P could have made 270 had Ashwin bowled his full quota of overs. Jadeja has at least taken more wickets than experienced specialist bowlers. Mohit has been good and has used the run rate pressure to pick wickets during the end overs. At least he is not afriad to bowl it on off side. Badree is CSK's best bowler in form who is being benched for some unknown reason. CSk management has made some outstanding decisions like buying Smith but some utter stupid decisions like benching Sameul Badree. The day when CSK comes across a good bowling attack or if their batters fail to click like we saw in couple of matches, they are doomed.
