I know it's a while away, but thought some of the happenings are worthy of discussion. Lamps has announced retirement, Chelsea have already strengthened with Diego Costa. Man Utd are looking to recruit some of the big German players. Liverpool look like they'll hold onto Suarez for the time being, but a good world cup and that'll soon change. Early predictions are that it'll be a Chelsea vs Man City tussle again. Man Utd if they strengthen with Van Gaal will be third and Arsenal as usual will be fighting for 4th alongside perhaps Liverpool this year. Of course, being this excited for the tournament, I have made a couple of promos for the new season. -Y5VkwX2vvc O6egCsfQTMA

Chelsea getting Fabregas is similar to them getting Willian last year. They don't actually need him, they already have a bundle of players in that position. They need a quality RB, CD and DM, the rest is good enough. That said, Fabregas won't make them any worse, if he plays anything like his early days in an Arsenal shirt, he will dictate games. Chelsea will need to get another good striker, if they do get someone good enough to step in for Costa, they will be the favourites for the new season.

Costa is almost a done deal. WHAT CESC BRINGS TO CHELSEA Can you recreate football magic that’s five years old? That’s certainly a part of the equation Chelsea were trying to solve in bringing Cesc Fabregas back to the Premier League. With Lampard retiring, and van Ginkel young, untested, and coming off ACL surgery, there was clearly a need for an experienced player in midfield for the Blues. Cesc Febregas certainly ticks those boxes, but despite the giddy-ness at this transfer making Arsenal fans miserable from its mere existence, I think there’s some confusion about what Fabregas brings to the team and how big an improvement it will be versus last season. Ignore the grousing from Barcelona fans. Cesc Fabregas at Barcelona was good, even though he was frequently played out of position, or as part of a system that never remotely played to his strengths. The fact that he let them play him out of position constantly, and basically buried his ego for what Guardiola and company perceived as the greater good says a lot to me about Fabregas’s personality. Pair him with a manager he trusts, and he will sacrifice for the team. That’s a damned admirable trait in the modern football world. More:http://www.statsbomb.com/2014/06/what-cesc-brings-to-chelsea/
