Heard on commentary today, Bhogle saying only left armer eligible for selection right now is Unadkat. Meaning no one else is remotely close for selection. Is this true ?

Am sure not one of these specialist commentators know anything about the current lot of upcoming pacers.

2nd catch induced off Bumrah's bowling  ... edge flies wide of 1st slip

The away-going delivery that he has added to his repertoire has made him very dangerous.

he is much dangerous bowler than bhuvi.....he would had 3 wickets in match if slips were placed for him rather than 2-3 slips for bhuvi who wasnt even able to get even 1 outside edge.....lol

Bumrah needs to be given 2 slips when he is bowling well in the first 10 overs.

His ability to get bounce off length deliveries,  and newly learnt away seaming balls , are inducing quite a few edges these days.  ( 3 edges flew through vacant slips today )

Kaptaansaab is too defensive in his field placements.

Not picking him in the test squad is clear lack of foresight.

Kohli perhaps still sees bumrah as a primarily slog over specialist and sees no point in having more than a single slip

Kohli said in a post-match interview in SL that Bumrah's good length balls have " picked up speed " nowadays  and he is getting more edges as a result.

Remember Kohli saying stg on these lines before that Bumrah developed out swinger etc. Still there was only one slip.

Around 156 (not 157).

In the 1997/98 series against Australia, Srinath's with one particular delivery measured at 149.6 km/h.[5] The Zimbabwe captain Alistair Campbell revealed that Srinath was recorded at 157 km/hr on 27 January 1997 in the game at Paarl between India and Zimbabwe. He said about this game: "We then moved on to our second game against India, at Boland Bank Park. In all 236 was quite a decent score, as it wasn't the easiest of pitches to bat on, and Srinath I think bowled the quickest that any of our guys had ever seen. He bowled a really quick spell early on, even quicker than Allan Donald; he was timed at 157 km/h, a good 10 km/h faster than Donald was bowling throughout the tournament. Grant Flower was hit on the thigh pad, and when he came off he said he thought he had broken his leg". (See paragraph 7 of the article by clicking on the below link)

Srinath bowled another delivery at 156 k a few weeks earlier.

Between December '96 and February '97 Srinath's speeds were timed in excess of 150kph and were comparable to those of both Allan Donald and South Africa's 'new' pace sensation Lance Klusener. Whilst Klusener's fastest ball came in at 154kph and he proved at the time to be faster than Donald, it has been brought to my attention on numerous occasions that Srinath pipped them both with one particular delivery measured at 156kph
