Speeds and Performances of Pacers and Spinners

He is probably clocked slower by the radar guns. There is something because he looks quicker then it shown on speed guns. According to today's game, there isnt much difference between him and BK's pace but he hurried batsmen.

It could be that the reduction in speed after pitching, for Bumrah, is less compared to an average pacer bowling similar release speeds.

Bumrah looked very tired even before he made his debut. Must get enough rest as he himself said he had played many domestic matches.

I am very hopeful about Bumrah for the following reasons

 

• he bowls in good areas while maintaining good speeds of 135 k to 143 k.
• he gets zip off the pitch
• his unorthodox action would make it difficult for the batsmen to gauge the trajectory of his deliveries
• he has a good yorker and good bouncer
• he gets seam movement and some swing too
• he does not look like a spraygun and bowls to a plan
• he has a good slower ball
• most importantly...he takes wickets

Also liked NathuSingh bowling today.Has a good action,can bowl certainly 140 kmph +,has good Yorker also.

Nehra has bowled two balls at 140k, 141k. Bowling in 135-140k range.

Just saw Nehra giving some bowling tips to Pandya after the match. Thats why you need some senior players, especially senior fast bowlers in the team.

Bhumrah deosn't panic under pressure. Has got a good yorker too.
Pandya has got decent pace for an all rounder. Needs to work a bit more on his accuracy which I'm sure he'll do.

Bumrah  133 k to 143 k

Pandya  135 k to 141 k

Nehra     132 k to 141 k

 

Bumrah bowled really well today..picked 3 wickets, was quick, bowled good yorkers and kept a calm head under pressure.

Pandya had a horrible first over ...but bowled much better later on and picked up 2 wickets.

Nehra was a bit rusty but not bad at all.

Nathu Singh looked fast and bouncy in today's Deodhar Trophy match.

They showed  speeds of just 4 of his deliveries and they were 141.4 k, 141.0 k, 138.7 k and 136.5 k.

He got consistent reverse in-swing in his later overs , bowled good in-swinging yorkers and bowled a batter off one such delivery.

Got sharp bounce with some deliveries.

Bumrah & Nathu Singh can bowl with good pace & accuracy.They can also bowl well at the end as they can bowl good Yorkers.

Hardik Pandya can be th e allrounder who can also bowl at 140+kmph .He has also ability to to bowl good to Yorkers.

In the next 2-3 years, we are going to have 8-10 options of pace bowlers who can bowl in the range of 135k-145k. Having options is very very important, so that you can select based on form and fitness.
