Still Umesh is not very Bad at least he is averaging 137K Still.

if he goes under 135K average , then he definitely will be DUMPED.

I am Surprised to See Bhuvi averaging 131-132 K in Second innings but Still looking DEADLY DANGEROUS in the second innings.

i have always been biggest critic of Bhuvi, always not interested in watching him bowl and never interested in him being in the team, even wrote against him.

he has slapped critics like me big time , on helpful tracks BHUVI IS A TIGER.

to beat Umesh and SHammi on this helpful track and win Man of the match and with bowling figures the look Mean.

Hats OFF to you BHUVI.

this is my priority list , i don't consider bhuvi as a pacer so i am not naming Bhuvi and Sandeep sharma in this list. not including pandya too as he is an all rounder.

1.BUMRAH.

2.Shammi.

3.Umesh/Avesh KHAN.= Both in form can be Terror.

4.ANKIT RAJPUT/Varun Aroon- Both are very good.

5.Basil thampi /Siraj/pradeep Sanghwan- I think first two are ready to play for INDIA and third one has Potential.

5.Ishan Porel/Nathu Singh- very promising and can play for INDIA.

6.Khejroliya/Lalit yadav...good left arm quick and talent right arm- currently not international standard but can become.

7.Ishant Sharma- i rate him very low as he has got enough opportunities already and still he does not bowl the WICKET TAKING Good length balls instead bowls short of length stuf, if a batsman is adamant of ducking , he can avoid ishant.

8.Khaleel,dinda,kaul,aniket chawdhary- i dont think they will play for india in future. Below International level.

Truth is bumrah is the BEST in all formats , just that he is not played in tests, if he is played he will become the BEST, he is already the best in ODI and T20.

Shami had a 144.x his wicket of Chandimal and Umesh had a 141.x i remember seeing a 139 from Bhuv..are we talking about different innings or may be you are being conservative.

On being questioned about Bhuvi's performance, Kohli said that Bhuvi is bowling a heavy ball these days and that is resulting in more wickets.

Many of us had talked about this issue earlier and it feels good to see that view being endorsed by an international cricketer.

I quoted from the BCCI website and provided the link.

This was just the 2nd innings ( just a few overs )

These are the first innings speeds I posted earlier in this thread

Umesh -- Fastest  141 k   Average  135 k    ( bowling much slower in the last 4 months.  Why  ? )

yeah saw that, on TV Shami delivered a 89.6 mph delivery to chandimal..good one.. guess its just the speed gun variants. Bcci is being conservative.

@Ankit_sharma03 Do you rate Tuskin Ahmad as a bowler?

i dont say he chucks in all balls but he chucks at least in 2 to 3 balls of his over.

i played a chucker ..i just defended as i just could not manage,,my coalegue batsman got out like ninpins.

Chucker controls the line n length of the ball like anything as he kinda aims and throws at a particular point on the pitch and with great pace. it is too dangerous to play cross bat and one has to play very straight else batsman will get bowled.

there are many Half chuckers playing in corporate teams and clubs in Mumbai and I hate that. as they are not regular bowlers they chuck a few balls and umpires dont notice them..its very BAD. I score 30's and 50's consistently and these guys are contenders to get me out after the first 4 overs are negated by me, i hit spinners very well and some of these so called spinners chuck after getting Hit for a Six or 4.

if you guys Pardon me then i would tell you that Praveen kumar also some times bowled 135k to 138k balls , some of those were CHUCK balls. his normal pace was 120 to 132k and never crossed 132k with legal round arm action balls but some times he had the capability to suddenly chuck and go upto 136-137k , most of his fastish balls were chuck..if you think that i am saying wrong , please try to see his video's. he could swing the ball to immensely and thats why he played for india..he did chuck once a while not always.

only when he got irritated nd did not get wickets , he chucked for one ball or so.

That's good.Ishant bowled better than Yadav I'm assuming then as he picked 3 wickets.

Ishant bowled a few 145, he was on rythm. Yadav bowled fast 138-142 but did not make batmen play him often, little too wide. but had some very good deliveries to lefthanders that did not fetch a wicket. Ishant got lucky atleast with one wicket, batsman chasing a wide delivery, but he was quick.

Watched a bit of Ashes today and saw Starc and Cummins bowling around 134-139 max. Could be around same pace as our bowlers at times but definitely not faster than our bowlers.

Diff is they can crank it up to 150 152 in a spell when they need. While our guys hit 148 its marginal but our guys dont hit 95 miles as often as they do

Indian fast bowlers have been consistently bowling at very good speeds in the last 2.5 years, especially in test matches.

Many pacers can bowl quick in T20Is  and ODIs, but it is very tough to do this with consistency  in test matches. The following posts are a recognition of this supreme effort by the Indian quicks.

vishalbhai ... have you checked above, the really high speeds that these 3 have bowled at in tests in the last 30 months  ?

yes I have ...though i have always been a Varun aroon and Umesh fan but these two guys Shammi and Ishant have consistently focussed on Pace.

Ishant was a under 140K bowler and now he is looking different.

Shammi bowls with extra energy n Zing and is giving the Australian fastbowler Cummins and Starc Competition.

earlier he was a Simple 135 to 140 K bowler never going faster than 140K and suddenly he has gone to the next level where as UMESH and Varun started as a 144 to 150 K bowler and declined.

i am disappointed by the selection of under 135k SID KAUL..at best he will just STOP RUNS.

I understand he is accurate but with his pace , he wont fetch wickets.

Shardul and Siraj who have been already selected are better choices.

Shardul can at least go upto 140-145 with the new ball and Siraj is a SNAKE bowler picking up wickets at will.

i am not sure how come they found SID Kaul better than Siraj and Shardul.

there is subtle diff between Ishant/Shami/ and Yadav/Aaron.

Ishant is actually super quick for the gradient in which his deliveries come in he is 6'5 and has a decent higher action. But operates at the a normal speed slightly slower than Umesh/Aaron.

Shami can deliver fast deliveries/ super fast spells, but operates normally at a lesser pace than Yadav ( excluding this series) and Aaron when he plays.

Yadav/Aaron can operate in 148/140-142 levels questionable control but still thats pace that threatens no matter what the surface is. Like Aaron was probably poor in that test where he broke Broad..but he still broke him. Bodily harm as bad as it sounds or threat of it is a potent weapon in test matches, it has its own quality.

Good post, Aaron is ripe for the picking, he has some experience n if he is bowling with pace n some control he will be a good addition, as a enforcer, I would pick him in test ahead of Umesh at this point as he seems to be down on pace n confidence.

Shami

Ishant

Umesh

I think umesh is not that bad now..he is getting into full rhythm.

Secondly Aaron did not create big waves this season and one of the guys who saw one of his match recently was not impressed by his pace too..he posted in a forum in icf.

I m sure he was bowling under 138k...to cut long story Aaron cud also look a bit down from his best days and may be around 140k.

I would want him to be picked on merit and genuine pace ..if he not generating 145k pace..he is not doing a great job.

I may prefer siraj or shardul as the additional pacer..preferred option being

Siraj

Aaron looks like in good rhythm n generating pace n has good stats , if ever there is someone who deserves a place it is Aniket Choudhury ,Siraj is too much of a rookie and can be nurtured at home in with the squad, Shardul to me has poor fitness , is just above average .
