Sorry but this guy is overrated just see Everton matches he is above average at best
Ballon d'Or Prix d'Honneur[edit] In 2014, Pelé was given an honorary Ballon d'Or, having won three FIFA World Cups with Brazil but never an individual award from FIFA, as during his playing career only European-based players were eligible to win the original Ballon d'Or.[1]
I know that is only an honorary award but here you go
The FIFA Ballon d'Or (French pronunciation: [balɔ̃ dɔʁ], "Golden Ball") is an association football award given annually to the male player who is considered to have performed the best in the previous year. It is awarded based on votes by coaches and captains of international teams, as well as journalists from around the world.

Na ah......Tim Howard says Hi
IMO the best keeper is one who does not have to make too many saves - that shows that he controls his area (around the D) and the defenders so well that such situations where the opposition can take a chance does not arrive so easily. Tim Howard made some really spectacular saves BUT the reason he had to make those saves was that he wasn't good in the first place and the opposition got many chances (sure, the defenders were also at fault but he was also not that good). Neuer is the best keeper in the world right now. Courtois (Belgian, plays for Chelsea) is the next great keeper to look out for.

howard does not even cover area well he does not even go forward and stop striker and in the end has to make spectacular safe which were not needed at all and then he is weak in other areas like gerrard free kick he conceded ..he is no where near best in world in world he cup he was just in good form and over hyped by american media

Ronaldo this year. But he won't win by the huge margins Messi won by for 4 years cause he is not as well liked by all players and coaches who vote. Which is expected, even from fans, when your that good and your natural self is not so humble people cry themselves to sleep over it like its a crime to be yourself, how can he be so good and not humble? Then try hard to find slightest bad point rather than appreciate the most complete player ever. Pace, dribbling, control, best ever shot, best ever header, nba vertical jump, left foot, right foot, freekicks, penalties... He has many haters but truly deserves to win by quite a big margin this year. Scored more goals than 91 out of 96 clubs in top 5 European leagues so far this season! Ronaldo has to be an all time great now. Many team mates from Manchester and Real have said he was always the hardest worker in training. Of course the genetics are there but he maximised his talent with hard work. He is a perfectionist and a role model for all other players. And for his consistency since 2008 he is an ATG along with Messi. And for this year better than Messi.

dy2lxk.pnghttp://messivsronaldo.net/calendar-year.php Messi: 53 Matches, 43 goals, 21 assists -Word Cup runner up Ronaldo: 46 matches, 48 goals, 12 assists -Champions League Winner I think the Classico this weekend might sway a few voters one way or the other. It's closer than most think atm. Club/National captains, coaches and media vote. Ronaldo will win media but don't know about other 2. The voting is public and Ronaldo and Messi (national captains) never vote each other every year. :cantstop: Diego Costa will be 3rd, Neuer 4th, Ibra 5th, Suarez 6th cause of bite.

No keeper has won it in 50 years...and that's not about to change anytime soon IMO.
Oliver Khan was the closest. He had the upper hand on fat Ronaldo in 1st half with good saves but finished 2nd in award based on the 2nd half of the World Cup final 2002. He made mistake and Ronaldo scored 2 to finish 1st. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IBYXU7jUBHM]2002 FIFA worldcup final Brazil V Germany (highlights) - YouTube[/ame]
