Kaththi

When an acquaintance first mentioned Kaththi to me, I thought she was lisping and wanted to say Katti indicating that she no longer wanted to be my friend or she was saying Kathi ( the kathi roll variety). It was however, this movie which was being spoken about. This cinematic abomination is apparently the highest ranked movie on IMDB this year. That prompted me to have a look at the trailer bMf0IyzyKt4 On first glance it looks like your regular Tollywood flick: mustachioed slightly overweight hero with a BMI of nearly 30. A North Indian love interest, who I doubt can differentiate between Telugu and Malayalam, flying cars, tacky background score playing at random scenes for dramatic effect. My question here is primarily to the annas and chechis of ICF. I'm . Should I watch this movie? Why does it have such a high IMDB rating?

I watched it for Samantha  she is southie  The movie good story, an awesome and heartwarming message about the farmers and water problems in India. But a piss poor execution. Below avarage and will test your patience. Slightly better when compared with brainless abomination like crappy new year or a monstrosity like bang gang bang bang.

Kaththi 7.5/10 I quite enjoyed the movie. Not as brainless as the trailer suggests. Very rarely is one pleasantly surprised by a Vijay flick, and this is one of those rare films which delivers more than it promises. Needless to say, Vijay was world class as usual. Just his mere presence in the same frame makes rookie actors like Neil Nitin Mukesh, Samantha and Satish look good. Now you decide to watch or not :phehehe:

1. This is NOT a Telugu ( Tollywood ) film. It is Tamil ( Kollywood? ) film. 2. I think you need to pronounce Kaththi with the letter 't' coming from tip of tongue touching teeth like tota ( bird ) and not katti as in...nevermind :winky: 3. Thankfully for Telugu movies, Balayya is not doing many movies nowadays ( he did one this year though :(( ) and the heroes are younger and OK looking. Nagarjuna at his 50+ age is better than a few Bollywood heroes. And SRK is jealous of Mahesh Babu's looks and also the money he makes :hysterical: This fellow Vijay ( hero of Katthi ) is remake specialist who copies hit telugu movies...not this movie though

^ dood' date=' SRK makes so much money that even hollywood stars would envy [/quote'] Yeah I know but SRK had made a comment tongue in cheek in KBC...I could get only one part. Will try and find the other part where he had said to another contestant that he better take him ( SRK ) as he won't be able to afford Mahesh Htppl5yQDSo

This thread is just another opportunities for Northies to be their racist and condescending selves.. Cue the music for a bunch of sambar and lungi references, skin color jabs and barbs about mustaches etc.. :headshake: P.S; In all seriousness, spare yourself some trouble - dont watch the movie.

@OP Tips to get a satrical or Troll OP going-Should atleast get the facts right or should have some kind of humorous take or distortion of the actual fact . Fistly this is not a Tollywood movie...This is a Tamil movie..... TAMIL a different language altogether and not a Telugu movie...a little bit of typing on this wonderful website called Google tells me that the popular name of the Tamil film industry is Kollywood...being the good guy I am,additional info-Malyalam industry is called Mollywood. The reason I am reacting like this is you can't blame the actor Vijay on the Telugu film industry...no Maam we will stand for our rights and won't take this abuse. Also you don't have to watch the Tamil version...once again for your convinience TAMIL-a language spoken in the state of Tamil Nadu.....There will obviously be a much watered down cheap remake of what is already a pathetic movie(just my assumption) starring Akshay Kumar or Salmaan khan that will be released for your convinience in a year or 2. So save yourself the trouble :icflove:

Excellent movie. One of the best movies made in Tamil cinema in recent years Definitely worth watching The movie is about the agricultural issues faced by farmers and the water theft by MNCs in Agri lands. So the first half might be boring for some But 2nd half is slick action movie . Even if u don't watch the movie just check the coin fight in YouTube . One of the coolest fight sequence

Giving benefit of doubt to the truly innocent people...Kindly refer to the map below :-
Anyone who understands and speaks basic Hindi is a North Indian. That makes probably 85-90% of Indians as Northies, irrespective of where they live. Most ideal situation would be that every Indian understands some basic Hindi.
