List of all the catches and matches Virat Kohli has dropped in Test cricket

His drop/catch ratio should be the highest at the moment. Worrying thing is he has good ODI expirience and he stands there now from last 2 years in tests, still no improvement at all. I guess he should stay away from there, else it might start affecting his batting.

This list includes all the catches that Kohli has dropped in Test cricket. The total number is 14, including all the fielding positions. Of these, 10 were dropped/missed in slips and gully, and the other four in FSL, BSL and silly mid-on. I have not included half chances and the like. These drops have cost India 597 runs (almost one-third of the 2000+ runs he has scored in Test cricket) Out of the 31 Tests he has played, he fielding has seen a sharp decline in the 2nd phase of his career - he has dropped 3 catches in his first 14 Tests and 11 catches in the next 17. In fact, he has probably been India's best fielder in his first 6 Tests when he was not standing in slips.

Seriously ...I think his drop catches have cost us big time but what can we do he is our best batsman overall:((
All the dropped catches since 2011 WC must have cost us a few thousand runs I guess. Mccullam, Cook, Clarke, etc all made daddy 100s after they were dropped. :((

The % in that stat mean nothing 16 Drop catches is unbeleivable and not that he has played like a 100 tests...2nd highest drops is 4
Look at it this way - Kohli caught 15 catches and dropped 15 out of the 30 catches that came to him. Ashwin caught 4 and dropped 3 out of the 7 catches that came to him. Same difference. Unless we are expecting Ashwin to really turn around and become super safe in slips. Vijay and Dhawan are much better though.
