Texan Posted December 30, 2014 Share Posted December 30, 2014 Besides Kohli, the only players who are a certainty in the 11 for now are: Rahane, Vijay and B. Kumar (when fit). So, if you were picking a v/c from these, the pool is quite small. I would personally pick Rahane for his cool head to contrast with the more fiery Kohli. If you broaden the pool to include those who are likely to be in the XI, but need to soon start performing better, then you have: Pujara, Dhawan, Ashwin If these are contenders then I would think Ashwin would make for the best candidate because he comes across as a thinking cricketer.
