King Tendulkar
A year or so ago both india and england were seen as having great batting line ups rivalling the aussies. Now both batting line ups are seen as dreadful. Or at least dreadfully out of form. Who knows maybe things will turn again and they fire again. Lets hope india's clicks back in to gear at the wc. It happened at the last wc when whole batting was dire then just all found their form at wc. Link to comment
yoda
Re: How things change We just scored 338. :chin: I know what you mean. The big guns are failing more often than not. Time for newbies to stand up and be counted. Link to comment
King
Re: How things change A lot of ODI sides are off form. Even NZ top order is doing nothing great. South Africa although beat India 5-0, their batting has been rather brittle. West Indies also have been blowing hot and cold. Pakistan's batting looks quite good on paper but we all know their fortunes change real quick. Sri Lanka and Australia are the inform batting sides. I would place Australia and Sri Lanka as favorites for the WC. The rest can beat each other on a given day. This world cup is going to be a tight contest for the second finalist. Link to comment
Captain of Bhangra
Re: How things change I never saw England as having a great batting line-up. The Ashes was won on the back of their (at the time) World class pace-bowling line-up. The batting was just good... Link to comment
