WTF and Random Pakistan Cricket News

I'm at a loss of words. There are idiots, there are morons and then there is Ahmed Shehzad. Right after losing to India he posted a selfie of him wearing a 'Rolex' watch. And after losing to West Indies, he posted a selfie with some of his team mates smiling and in good mood. And no, it's not a fake account. It's his official FB account. Here's the link - https://www.facebook.com/iamAhmedshahzad Look at the comments section of those pics :hysterical::hysterical:

PCB launches investigation against Moin Khan

The PCB has asked Moin Khan, Pakistan's chief selector and a member of the tour selection committee, to return home after he was reportedly seen in a casino two days before the team's clash against West Indies in Christchurch. The board has also launched an official investigation against him. The team manager Naveed Cheema confirmed to AFP that he was heading the investigation, and Shaharyar Khan, the PCB chairman, said strict action will be taken against Moin should he be found guilty. "We have launched an investigation over the reports that Moin Khan visited a casino, and action will be taken if the reports are proven true," Shaharyar told reporters in Lahore. "As per initial reports, Moin went there to have a meal two days before the match against West Indies and a Pakistani couple photographed him and made a video. We will not make anybody a scapegoat and will investigate this incident before taking any action." Moin has held several positions in the Pakistan setup over the last year such as team manager, coach, and head of the selection committee. He was earlier removed as the team manager so that he could travel with the side to Australia and New Zealand as a member of the tour selection panel. Though Moin isn't a part of the official World Cup squad, he has permission to attend team meetings and if invited, can even enter the dressing room. While Moin has generally avoided interacting with the players during matches, he has, at times, been seen sitting next to them in the dugout since he holds an ICC accreditation. This latest incident comes just over a week after eight Pakistan players, including Shahid Afridi, were fined 300 AUD each for breaking the team curfew in the days leading up to their opening game against India in Adelaide. Pakistan lost that contest by 76 runs, before capitulating against West Indies by 150 runs, leaving them rooted to the bottom of Group B. Their fielding against West Indies, in particular, left a lot to be desired, as the players dropped as many as six catches, before the team's top order crumbled chasing 311.

and he wants his 'friends' to "trend" a hashtag with his name to express support - not the team name, HIS name. Epitome of self-centered attitude - this is symbolic of why Pak cricket is where it is. And sorry, he wouldn't even make India A team as a batsman - he's just not that good. Pakistan need to get their domestic setup in order - all their new batsmen coming up seem to have very poor technique - its as if tape-ball batting stars are the only ones coming through.

IMO they should be allowed to have fun, I don't see anything wrong in what he did by posting pictures. What these guys do outside the ground should not be a issue as long as they are not breaking any law.Yeah they lost matches so should they wallow in sadness.
You are not wrong - but there is something called judgement - you don't put up smiley pictures like tourists when you have just played like amateurs and suffered a big loss with tournament ramifications. Thats the issue - are they tourists or fans? Or are they representing their country?

Since when posting pictures with teammates is termed as tourist pictures.Just because they lost some matches playing for country badly ,they are not allowed to have a life. Maybe that is the way he and his teammates are relaxing and why is it anybody's business on what he and his team mates do after games. Has he posted any obscene pictures with girls or was he drunk no, so when all fans can live their lives why can't they do the same. If he is not good enough player , he is not good enough but no one should have right to tell him or any player what they should or should not do in their time. Fans can criticize/comment on his play on the field but off the field what he does it is his business. If any fan has any problem with his off-field activity then he should become good enough to be selected for the team
