Speed and performance of medium pacers, trundlers and fast bowlers in Ipl

Recommended Posts

The first match was won by the excellent bowling by Guru- Shishya combo of Praveen kumar and Bhuvneshwar Kumar. Praveen Kumar has low pace of 125-130 KPH but has deadly accuracy, moves the ball in the air and hits yorkers and Low-full tosses consistently in the death overs. Bhuvi hit 130-138 KPH with good swing in the initial overs and at the death overs also he is able to bowl many yorkers. Just 37 runs were required in 3 last overs by KKR with 7 wickets and big smashers remaining but still they were restricted by these two bowlers and KKR lost by 17 runs

In the second match, They say that batsmen take all the credit and it's true after the injustice done with Nehra. He deserved the Man of the match, no questions asked instead of Raina. In a T20 match at Bangalore where everyone gives 40 plus runs in their 4 overs, Nehra took 4 wickets and gave just 10 runs, holy feck, this is equivalent of scoring 100 runs in 40 balls for a batsman !! Nehra bowls at a good pace of 135-140 KPH with good swing, good control and yorkers and slower balls at the death overs. He is a freaking complete package, should directly get inside Indian ODI and T20 side, a MUST addition for World T20 next year.

Nehra is twice the bowler Umesh and Mohit are. If Ashwin can play despite his fielding' date=' Nehra too deserved a place.[/quote'] Nehra's problem is injury. He does not play ranji trophy for Delhi due to that and only plays T20s these days to extend his career. He is good enough to only bowl 4 overs a game.

Can be given a chance for 2016 WT20

Atleast play Nehra for India in T20s and keep him with the team as an assistant bowling coach or something. His brains need to be picked and skills transferred to our upcoming bowlers.

Bumrah bowled 128 to 137 k today. Has become much slower this season. Went for 54 runs off 4 overs.
Hardik Pandya' date=' who bowled 130 to 140 k last match, bowled 125 to 135 k today. The wicket keeper was standing up.[/quote'] Many bowlers reduce their speeds in T20s dependin upon pitch and situation to provide less pace to batsman, so that they have to generate own speed to hit fours and sixes. Regarding, Jasprit Bumrah, he is definitely carrying a niggle, just compare with his earlier videos, many players play in the IPL carry small niggles as its only 4 overs and its the IPL....

Broad played the shot before the ball arrived,he was beaten by the slowness of the Indian Trundlers as he was habituated to pacier deliveries. Indian Fast Bowlers:A Species that never existed.
No, he was beaten for pace. He was late in his shot as the ball hit the top edge of the bat went through the grill.

No' date=' he was beaten for pace. He was late in his shot as the ball hit the top edge of the bat went through the grill.[/quote'] If it was a fast bowl after hitting the edge the ball would go high,it was a slow ball so it didnt go too far and was lodged into the grille. Indians cant bowl fast. They have poor genetics.Weak body and all.

Harshal Patel bowled 135 to 142 k today . Bowled some sizzling bouncers last match. Is hitting the deck hard. This guy has improved a lot. Took 2/23 today off 4 overs.
Harshal Patel has decent control too, easily bowls at 135 to 142 KPH and has touched 140+ many times in the past matches too.

that ball was bowled at 139.9 k. Check YouTube.
Speed gun can be wrong and 139.9 is medium fast.
Are you Sanjay manjerakar?
No.
Slow ball won't have enough force behind it to go through the grill.
Slow doesnt mean 10kph.And the ball went through the gap and didnt go through the grill by breaking it.

New Bhartiya Trundler. Bharat cannot produce fast bowlers as they lack the genetics to be strong athletes.

action is much like jimmy anderson. he's only 24 so I'm hoping he can break through in next 1-2 years. problem is BCCI doesn't give any focus to identifying specific fast bowlers and make sure they get enough guidance to get to next level

Harshal doesn't swing the ball and lacks a good seam position. He is no Anderson
I see no Good fast bowling prospect this year on ipl.Anybody in reserves to look out for?
