YCCC
It appears he hasn't been selected! Baffling to say the least when we're short of batsmen! Sorry he is playing. Sodding Shitinfo missed him out and has us playing with ten men Link to comment
BeautifulGame
Dravid played in a different era. Even the likes of Vijay and Rahane have not exactly set the world alight in the limited overs arena. Tells me that crossing between formats can be done only by the best of batters. India should aim to seperate their test and LOI teams. Rahul Vijay Rahane Pujara as test specialists. Kohli for both. Dhawan and Rohit IMO should just stick to the Limited overs. Keep Saha for the tests while somebody else plays in the ODIs/T20s like a Uttappa or a Samson. Ditto the bowlers. Lets make Ishant a test specialist (if at all) etc. In total india must aim for 7-8 test specialists The problem is the test only players don't get any adulation limelight or big sponsors in India .And every sportsmen in any field craves this no just cricketers .So its very hard to have test specialists in India ,will be very unfair on players . English or Aussies could do it becoz they have Ashes which is the most important to the public . Link to comment

English or Aussies could do it becoz they have Ashes which is the most important to the public . True, I think in theory having two separate teams for India for Tests and ODis makes sense especially for India considering the quantity of players available, but I reckon none of the Test only players will be ever satisfied as they will never get the recognition or adulation (as mentioned in above post) from the Indian public. The indian public drives the game of cricket and generates the revenues for the game and the Indian players, but only limited to how the players perform in ODIs and T20s. And so maybe/or unfortunately Pujara is playing in the wrong era, of course unless he undergoes a massive change, churns out big runs in Tests and eventually forces his way into the ODI team. Which I think is his aim, and reckon his ultimate priority is still probably to play ODI and IPL regularly, i.e. Pujara rather be a Lehmann/Nick Knight than Langer/Mark Butcher PS: Though it is even more sickening for likes of Pujara to see someone like Raina get given chances in Tests after being a total utter failure return after return :hysterical: Link to comment

By having test only specialists even the BCCI would reap more dividends on terms of top performances and also would be able to play more ODIs with effectively 2 teams. Sometimes i feel ICF would be better at managing the affairs of Indian cricket. Its that obvious. England are going the same way. Bell Cook Anderson Trott will be test specialists. Bopara Morgan etc will be ODI specialists. There is probably only an overlap of about 3-4 players like Root Stokes Butler etc. Its already been talked about for the need to separate the two. The best way to play more and also combat burnout is separating test and limited overs teams. Link to comment

YCCC
and considering the weather today its a good toss to win. Worcs actually won the toss. After a poor start from them they're putting a worrying little partnership on. The more runs Mr Ali puts on the angrier I'm getting considering he should be in the Caribbean with all our lads, not "proving his fitness" in this match Link to comment
G_B_
i stand corrected.... seems like a good partnership building for Worcs Link to comment

YCCC
Worcestershire 264-8 at close so Pujara should bat at some point tomorrow. Looks like we'll need big contributions from 3 or 4 players to stay in the game so a challenging first innings awaits for him Link to comment
fineleg
If we cannot yank ipl itself, yank out a few of our main promising players and send them to County, that experience is invaluable for their career (much more so than giggle tamasha league) Link to comment
