'Communal Kidney' tale in India

This story has been doing a lot of rounds recently in social media. Donating an organ is perhaps the noblest thing that any human can do. On the receiving end, the recipient gets the biggest gift of all, life. However, in some rare cases, the organ donor is subjected to humiliation. That is just what happened in Kerala, India, when a female chose to offer the gift of life to a allegedly poor candidate, forgoing lucrative monetary offers. :(( - A Hindu lady is impoverished. She needs money. - A Muslim man is poor. He is on his deathbed and is in need of a kidney. - The Hindu lady gets offers of up to INR 15,00,000 in exchange of a kidney. - The Hindu lady however donates her kidney to the dying Muslim man FOR FREE because she feels he can't afford it and has a young infant child. - 2 years later, Main Stream Media finally wakes up and covers the Hindu lady’s story and praises her selflessness. - The Muslim man is all fit and fine now with a wife and a 3 year old son. - He comes to know about the developing story. - The Muslim man is now being taunted at by his fellow brethren for having a kafir's kidney inside his body. - He calls up the Hindu lady and hurls choicest expletives at her. - This is not a figment of my imagination. The name of the Hindu lady is Lekha Namboothiri and the Muslim man is called Shafi Navaz. - And with that Humanity took a giant leap backwards. Pathetic. Despicable. No future for this country. Today she is financially a bit better because of donations from people who were touched by her story. Lekha’s children attend RSS shakhas (which according to liberals is anti national) and she says that it is to inculcate patriotic feelings in kids. However she still gets threats from Shafi and his relatives for telling the story to the media now that members of his community know that he has an organ of a stone worshipping 'Namboothiri woman'. Because of threats to her wellbeing from a certain community in Mavelikkara her case has now been taken up by Human Rights Protection Council. 61yKVcm.jpghttp://www.inquisitr.com/1443186/ever-heard-of-an-organ-donor-being-abused-by-the-recipient-unfortunately-that-just-happened-in-india/

Under Transplantation of Human Organ Act (THO) :

For living donation - it defines who can donate without any legal formalities. The relatives who are allowed to donate include mother, father, brothers, sisters, son, daughter, and spouse. The first relatives are required to provide proof of their relationship by genetic testing and/or by legal documents. In the event of there being no first relatives, the recipient and donor are required to seek special permission from the government appointed authorization committee and appear for an interview in front of the committee to prove that the motive of donation is purely out of altruism or affection for the recipient.

something doesnt add up in this story.. she looks like a young woman.. and the sole reason why she was giving our kidney is that she is very poor and she needs some money... but then she gave her kidney to a poor man for free.. that contradicts her main reason to give away the kidney.. :hmmmm2:
