Lalit Modi controversy

I was also at first of the same opinion but after more and more revelations coming out, it seems she did not followed many procedures. The look out notice was given from Finance Ministry so at the least she should have informed the Finance Minister if not the Prime Minister. If she would have asked any of her secretaries they would have surely adviced her not to go ahead on her own. Then the travel document validity should have been a short term and also for specific purpose. So, Prima Facia it seems to be a case of mis judgement at huge level which was not at all expected from such a senior minister. Shivraj Singh struggling in vyapam, Vasundhara and Swaraj with #Lalitgate. It doesn't seem to be a good time for LK Advani team. Coincidentally these all three and mostly Vasundhara and Swaraj were the people who opposed Mr Modi PM candidature.
As far as Sushma Swaraj is concerned, she had done very well as Foreign Minister, had not said anything foolish (unlike many other ministers) and had, to a large extent gained the confidence of Modi/Shah despite having opposed them during the campaign. That is exactly why she was targeted. But the fact that Amit Shah was the first one to come to her defence and then Jaitley/Rajnath bring sent is an indication that she still enjoys the confidence of Modi - if that wasn't the case then Modi could have dropped her from the cabinet giving this controversy as an excuse. Shivraj's future is in serious doubt. Vyapam is just too big and will take him down or at the very least make him unsuitable for big national office. Vasundhara Raje was never suitable for national leadership of any kind IMO.

Wah! :hatsoff: to this "Chanakya Niti"... Giving issues on a platter to the opposition. Just before Monsoon Session? Doesn't he realises that the biggest Aasteen Ka Saanp is Jaitley? I don't think Modi is that stupid to do all these. He's effing no competition from Shivraj, Sushma, Advani or Vasundhara... This is like rocking your own boat before Bihar elections...
+1. Stupidest thing to wash dirty linen in public.

The editors guild is blind, pathetic and extremely partisan if it has not seen the hounding of Sushma Swaraj and the personal attacks by Times Now. There is a thin line between relentlessly pursuing an issue and personally attacking people to further your own agenda/to get more TRPs - Times Now has crossed that line on multiple occasions over the last few years. If the Editors Guild is blind to the faults of the most watched English channel in India then it has no right to comment when someone else questions that channel or its loudspeakers (I won't call them journalists).

Did the External Affairs minister try to intimidate a journalist by naming her and casting aspersions on her in a Tweet ? :hmmm:

@SushmaSwaraj "Look who is preaching propriety - of all the persons Navika Kumar !"
Nowadays real journalism is only practiced by India Tv , Zee "Latak Gaya" news and the esteemed folks at Niti "namo CheerGirl" central .

Lalit Modi controversy

much ado about nothing.... let it blow over.
Media will not let it blow over as this is the first real opportunity to cast aspirations on the Modi Govt. There's no guarantee when they'll get another chance so they'll drag it as long as possible. The next Parliament session might also get affected on this sole issue.

Zee news may have gone too far in "latak gaya" but several times they raise issue whichs and are connected with common middle class. You want to consider real journalism where 10 days out of 30 we invite Pakistani's and just keep shouting Kashmir is ours then good for you

“Look who is preaching propriety - of all the persons Navika Kumar,†tweeted Sushma Swaraj.
Now aadharinya Sushmajee's Sycophants are claiming she was referring to the Radia tapes episode in which the aforesaid Times Now journo had been recorded conversing with lobbyist Niira Radia. In the tape Niira Radia asks the Journo not to disclose the information to her friend Arun Jaitley. CGLUd_K4_XEAA0_BCr.jpg Guilt by association ? :hmmm: don't think that will work unknown97.jpg

However, when Modi bought shares in this firm, he had to shell out Rs 96,190 for each share. The transaction for 815 shares was more than Rs 7.80 crore. Sources said the ED investigation would look into whether NHHPL, when it was sold to Modi, possessed enough assets or had enough business to justify the price. http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/india/Lalit-Modi-put-in-Rs-11-63-crore-in-Vasundhara-Raje-sons-company/articleshow/47697808.cms

Surprised at the media coverage on this when they wont discuss National Herald' date=' Vadra,Chagan Bhujbal,Sharada, Pawar...guess cricket comes first[/quote'] Barring Times Now other channels are not discussing it as much apart from NDTV (obviously). Demanding resignations over it is just TRP thing for Arnab lol nobody is going to be sacked or will resign over such small issues.

IF it turns out that Vasundhara Raje had signed that document then I see trouble for her. Sushma Swaraj is safe.
