Operation Barbarossa was the major reason for Nazi Germany's eventual defeat in WW2. Lots of mistakes, classic battles such as the one in Stalingrad where the armies fought house to house battles, the war even had tanks shooting at each other from point blank range, .... :nervous: Also highlights how fortunes change with technology. Earlier Germans has the technological advantage. Later Russians through the T-34 tanks and Katyusha multi missiles launchers which broke the German backbone Additionally shows the importance of quality over quantity. And if you can match quality with quantity, it becomes an unbeatable combination Hesitation plays a key role in war. Hitler was just 50 miles away from Moscow when he stalled the march forward and diverted the middle front to south.
