putrevus
Indian batting if you just go by stats is amazing with dhoni at no 7, We can even say it is better than Their line up.Why is it with this Amazing batting line up Indian Team hasnt won many games.Indian batting line seldom clicks all at a time. They bat for their position rather than team. one of the main reasons is Tendulkar has not been the same since tthe emergence of Dravid and Laxman. When Tendulkar was in his prime like what Pointing is now there was no support around him , if you remember 1999 tour , it was a joke hrikesh kanitker was in middle order. If dravid is in decline then we have big problems, he has to be the Wall which he was in last tour They clicked big time last time they toured OZ, India needs to win this series by their batting it will not win by their bowling. Here this Justin Langer interview on BBC they were really overwhelmed by indian batting in that series. That Fighback was given by ganguly's century in first test. http://news.bbc.co.uk/media/audio/39699000/rm/_39699703_sport_langer_edit.ram Link to comment
MundaPakistani
Indian batting is more talented but Aussie batsmen have a better mind set and more confidence in their ability. Link to comment
putrevus
you are spot on , I think Indian are too circumspect about their places in the team , if they are set in team they take things for granted.Viru is prime example of that.VVS is also one who scores just enough to keep his place in team. Indians Attitude about not trying to win every match like in England and also in Banglore , they chose not to lose rather try to win. That attitude transforms in the teams as well, the players want to keep their places rather than giving all out effort for each Match.
