All is forgiven if we win the test series

Ok, we lost T20s and the JAMODIs. Big deal....move on. Real battle is yet to commence. We lost to Australia in ODI bilaterals/tri series every single time before 2004 but we won the test duels in '95, '98,'01 and that's what really matters. Nobody remembers ODI/T20 results but test results are difficult to forget. The 2012 test series loss at home to England still hurts, even though we thrashed them in the home ODIs a couple of times in between '11-'12, including a whitewash in '11. Saffers I guess will take the results of the test series much more seriously than the events of the past month. After all they are undefeated in overseas tests since '06 and India is the only place they haven't tasted success in that time frame. Win the test series and we still have won the war. Super pumped for this.

Hope we get home advantage in the pitches and Ashwin is fit. Also relieved that we get to see an Indian team sans MSD. Kohli will no doubt back the bowlers more like he did in Lanka. Just pray that Che gets a look in. Want him and Murali to grind Steyn and co to dust. Also hope Rahane, Dhawan, Kohli get a few biggies and make them field for many days. Ashwin, Mishra, Jadeja will be tough to deal with even for batsmen like ABCD, Amla and Du Plessis. And don't forget Lord Ishant, the slayer of batsmen and conqueror of Lanka. This will be an epic series, hopefully one that will be talked about for many years. This is a young team which can rise to great heights, let this be a stepping stone towards their path to the test no 1 spot.
