Surely, they should return back any government benefits if they are hellbent on insulting them.Next, this whole issue is bogus. It's case of anti-Modi brigade being intolerant themselves, and and unable to accept Modi as elected PM. Compare their extreme reaction to what happened when Lata supported Modi for PM, she got humiliated, threatened and was abused. It's clear we have one side of eminent people which is extremely vocal about their anti-Modi credentials whom will miss no opportunity to harm/insult GOI, and are completely intolerant of other opinions in the country. Gandhi, the general secretary of Indian Ex-Servicemen Movement. Armed forces veterans staging a protest here to press their demand for ‘One Rank, One Pension’ (OROP) scheme on Friday announced that they will return their medals across the country on November 9-10.On 145th day of the protest at Jantar Mantar here and across the country, the armed forces veterans also decided to escalate, upgrade and intensify their agitation.“The government is willing to provide us an OROP, which is full of discrepancies and is not as per its definition. To protest, all ex-servicemen with their medals will line up in discipline and dignified manner in each district across the nation on November 9-10,” Gandhi told reporters here.Military veterans have been protesting for 145 days ? And the Govt tried to convince us that OROP issue has been resolved The agitation of armed forces veterans continued even after the central government announced the OROP scheme on September 5.The veterans have said what government announced is not OROP, but ‘One Rank, Five Pension’. Because of the EC code of conduct in place, any major announcement can only been done after the results are out.The OROP veterans are just creating bit of pressure.
