New Delhi: Top South African cricketer Hashim Amla reportedly denied an interview to an Indian TV anchor who was underdressed.

Amla, a devout Muslim, was unhappy at the short dress and low-neck top the woman was wearing. He put forward his condition which the organizers agreed to following which the anchor was asked to return with different attire.

Long bearded, Amla having his origins from Gujarat, has displayed his Islamic leanings in the past was well. The staunch Islamic follower refused to endorse a ‘Castle’ beer ad on his team jersey and was willing to pay $500 fine.

In 2006, Dean Jones, the former Australia Test batsman turned TV commentator, was been sacked by his employers, Ten Sports, after being heard calling Amla a ‘terrorist’ on live television during the fourth day’s play between Sri Lanka and South Africa at Colombo.

Over reaction...but Mayanti should dress up more professionally if she wants to be taken seriously .She dresses up for interviews like she is one a date with honey boney.

It would be unprofessional for a man to  conduct interviews wearing tiny spandex shorts and chest showing shirt...
