Indian Hunters vs Pakistani Markhors

Venue: Mirpur / Dhaka

Date: 02/27

Time: 13.30 GMT (19.00 IST and 8.30 EST)

Since 2007, the Hunters and the Markhors have battled in 6 T20s. Of this 6 games, 5 have yielded a win or loss result. Of these 5 games, Markhors have won just one. However, past results mean little in this format. Markhors are keen to pierce their horns in to the hearts of their traditional Hunters.

The Makhors have usually been a challenging side. Through out their history, they have been very resourceful. Some of their innovations include using 13 players on the field which eventually led to the concept of neutral umpires, using bottle caps, jumping on the pitch and even biting the ball. The team is also known to not give up till the last ball esp. in encounters vs. India. It is hard to find a more big-hearted team than Markhors.

In this event, Makhors are led by the talented Afridi who holds many records. Most notable ones include ability to stay forever young. His dedication to the team is such that he keeps changing his retirement date and is willing to literally bite the ball. The team also includes talented players such as Amir who could been one of the best bowlers if not unfairly banned, Sami who probably would prefer to wear a helmet when bowling, and Malik who is known to be so charismatic that a famous Indian sports star had to marry him over hundreds of broken-hearted Indians.

Additionally, the recently completed PSL has ensured that Markhors are battle ready. PSL is the tournament for exciting big-hearted cricketers who want to play in the best T20 league in the world. It not like the superfluous IPL where overrated, aging, retired and small minded cricketers play.

Coming to the Hunters, they have just had a fluke win over the Tigers. If not for the dropped catch of Rohit, the Tigers would have easily mauled the Hunters. If the likes of Kohli, Dhawan, Raina and Yuvraj could not get going against the Tigers, what chance would they have against the crafty bowling attack of Markhors? On the other hand, Markhors will take Hunter's bowling attack to the cleaners. All that Dhoni and Shastri can do is watch the destruction helplessly and cry like babies.

In anticipation of the massive win over the Hunters, Pakistani fans have already stocked tons of crackers. On 27th, the fireworks would be heard from Srinagar to Kanyakumari:

In a bid to enhance the country's image - banners proclaiming peace would be out too:

And so would the super-fans:

As we can see, Markhors are simply unstoppable!

Meanwhile in India, the famous Markhor Hunter has this to say:

"Baap baap hota hai ...."

Awesome Preview :cantstop:

Yesterday's win by India was a fluke. India would have folded under 80 had that catch been taken by Sakib. Sakib missed the catch to avoid jeopardizing his place in IPL. But no such compulsions would be there in the Paki team. They don't care about IPL because they have the best league in the whole freaking Milkyway. If Indian batsmen get lucky then we may reach to 50 which their beef eating batsmen will chase in 1 or 2 overs easily against our trundlers. This is why I am going out on saturday instead of watching the match. Can't watch India getting slaughtered.

How Indians became Hunters? :hysterical: Who told u? :rotfl:

I'm guessing he tried to type indian hyenas but auto correct changed it to ridiculous and meanigless term "hunters". Hunters are supposed to be fearless and brave.. indian ftbs and pie chuckers are cowards who are hilariously exposed as soon as they get difficult conditions ex:pune t20.. :two_thumbs_up:

Yesterday was a bizarre display of batting by Kohli. Normally he seems so assured in his innings. He builds up his innings beautifully. Hits the ball in the gaps and takes calculated risks. But yesterday he was throwing his bat at everything even before getting set.

Could the confusion over Dhoni's availability and therefore not knowing if he would have to lead or not affected Kohli? It appears as if this decision could hv been taken at the last min

I feel that decisions such as how fit xyz is, who would lead, etc should not be kept for the last min. Ideally an 11 should be identified at least 24 hrs in advance based on info available at that time

Looking at SL-UAE game, I think the markhor/chukkars should be the only contest, and that too only because of the spice of history.  It will be an aberration and poor performance if India somehow manages to lose Asia cup.  These other teams' batting is just so lalloo-panju.  I know its T20, and a good 3-4 overs can win you the game, so you never know - but a professional team should really put away teams a notch below without too much issue.
